Wir haben im Rahmen einer Motorradtour im Friaul die erste Nacht bei der Anreise auf der Alm verbracht. Sehr sauberes Zimmer, Essen war lecker. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir haben 2 Nächte auf der Straniger Alm verbracht und sind sehr begeistert. Nette Leute, gutes Essen und herrlicher Ausblick. Der Käsekurs von Klaus ist nur zu empfehlen, man merkt, mit welcher Leidenschaft er das Käsehandwerk betreibt. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Wir haben ein paar wunderschöne Tage bei Prachtwetter auf der Straniger Alm verbracht! Klaus mit seinem Team hat uns rundum verwöhnt, sehr gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen, die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und bequem! Der Käsekurs ist hochinteressant und empfehlenswert! Danke Johanna und Kurt

Straninger Alm è una malga austriaca a due passi dall'Italia.Da parte austriaca si sale per comoda strada.Mentre dalla parte italiana (cason di Lanza),ci sono circa 3km da fare con un 4×4 o a piedi.... Il posto si presta a escursioni per famiglie.Gli Spetzel con formaggi e cipolla sono spettacolari?? Merita una sosta

One of the best lunch time in alm in my life

On the top of Kärtner! Great atmosphere & food. Really made our trip here memorable, really fun to explore with the amazing food.  We decided to eat and take our time here – best decision ever!

Originally, I got quite a bit worried when the paved road simply disappeared about 10 kms before I reached the accommodation. I was on my heavy road cruiser, it was getting dark quickly and the terrain suddenly turned into compacted dirt road with gravel and occasional big rocks that could tip send the motorbike to the ground. And the road got quite steep in some segments. This is probably fine in a standard car or on terrain (motor)bike, but it took me about 40+ minutes to make the trip and few near-drops along the way. But oh boy, I'm glad I made the effort. Arriving quite late at night, both the locals and visitors from the farm warmly invited me over, served me few drafted beers and quickly accommodated me. Most of them spoke with rural Austrian-German accents, but I did not need to understand to have fun and experience the rawness of the remote Alpine life. At night, I slept in a shared dorm with another couple in the farm's attic, but I still had some privacy due to wooden dividers. However, the most of the magic came in the morning when the farm came to life, farmers started herding the goats and cows and the valley got filled with sunshine. You can sit outside in the early sun and enjoy delicious and super authentic breakfast made right there at the farm from local animals - butter, milk, cheeses, bread, bacon, you name it. Everybody was extremely lovely and hospitable and no cell signal means you have no worries and just enjoy the time spent. In a way, I regret having to leave early next day. One day, I'm definitely wandering back and already cannot wait to meet Klaus and others again :) Dankeschön
