★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite coffee shops from my recent visit. They had soy and oat milk options (the later rather than you’d expect in Vienna). Quality coffee prepared well by a friendly staff. They have both take away and seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice coffee shop with a great coffee, that's quite difficult to find in Vienna

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It can be quite challanging to find an Italian-style coffee in Vienna, but Akrap totally get to the point with their great mixtures and fine roasting. I haven't tried them all, but it's probably the best coffee in Vienna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee is ok if you’re just having it straight. For those who like their coffee with milk/milk alternatives, it’s not great. (So why a 5-star rating? ) A lovely flourish is that they serve every coffee order on a silver-plated tray with a decent glass of water and sugar on the side. Similar (modern) style cafe competitors no longer do this (you gotta elbow your way in the cafe, ask for water or somehow find a clean glass so that you might have a sip of water). Neither indoor nor outdoor seating are all that comfortable but it is still a pleasant spot even with the occasional car going by. There are two fab aspects about this place. The first is its surprisingly quite and relaxing situation on a mainly residential street that is intersected by two very busy major streets (Gumpendorferstrasse and Mariahilferstrasse). The second, and best aspect, is that it is service-oriented: accommodating, attentive and courteous.
Lovely BONUS for the mummies/daddies/carers out there: the only cafe in the inner Gürtel that brandishes a ‘babycinno’ on its published menu and it is gratis. One of the baristas told us it’s because they recognised the need :-). So if you’re going to tip generously anywhere, do it in in places like this. They don’t expect it at all but you feel good doing it because “them’s are nice folk!” and seem to really care about the community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had high expectations of this café after all the positive reviews, but the espresso was distincty burnt and biscotti soft and not crunchy. Nice breeze at the outside tables and they freely give water by glass, so still an ok to sit for a while, but not recommended for coffee connoisseurs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best affogato I have ever tasted! The coffee taste was real!! The choco Mama's cake in a jar was very nice too. Rather small place but people didn't hog seats so didn't have to wait for long for table. The barista worked alone, spoke English and was very friendly - greeted "hello" to everyone who walked in even while busy making coffee. Prices were more than reasonable compared to the touristy "historic" cafes. Must come and have some real coffee!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place looks nice, I can imagine thay make very good espresso, sadly, they don't have oat milk, only soy milk (of the non-diery departement of course). We had Latte and flat white so the taste of the coffee was damaged somewhat. Also they don't take card payment, which is a complication for us tourists. The barista was very nice and understanding, that is a plus for sure. I'm not sure how to rank this place, but because of him, it would be rude to give the lesser option I'm thinking of.
