My Wife and i today visited Aida as a coffee stop in between museums. All ran smoothly however when it came to paying the bill i waved one of the waitresses over and proceeded to settle the account of which receipt had been sent out with our coffees (and strudel). All appeared fine until we went to leave and the manager insisted to which we had not yet settled the bill. He went on about he was waiting our table and had not printed out the invoice for us to pay. none of the 2 waitresses owned up to taking our money (which was approx 5mins before we left). The manager (short blond hair and a Georgio Armani earring, Markus?) made us feel extremely uncomfortable so sure of his "bullet proof" system that we gave him the money for the SECOND time and walked out. Very unprofessional service.

Toastier arrived still frozen in the middle, then taken away when we mentioned this and toasted more leading to a soggy mess. Coffee was ok and cakes passable. Overall a disappointing experience for such a beautiful area. Would not recommend.

cofee was average, cakes were quite okay. waitress was complete disaster. and we had worst hot chocolate ever(water with some powder). brand Aida coffee is guite well known and with some history, but our visit was absolute dissapointment. 2 stars because i can imagine it may be even worse. i am writing this review with cooled head, week after visit, while i am enjoying flawless hot chocolate for half price somewhere else ;) edit: waitress was Croatian and she definitely did not like her job. maybe this helps owners if they care..

Rude. Been avoiding AIDAs for a while because of their poor reputation. Friends finally brought me there. The menu looks touristic; expensive; poor service, frustrated waiter. Mohntorte eatable, coffee ok. No vegan options.

Saw lots of negative reviews online about the staff, food and everything. But I went there early morning, the staff was really friendly, and the coffee and food actually taste good, some of the dessert taste too sweet for me. But nothing went wrong during my visit

Lovely, helpful staff, and delicious cakes & ice cream. The venue is just over the road from the park and the church (the tour bus stops outside the church). The air con is also very welcome in hot heather! ?

Here in the AIDA, established in 1913 and an institution for Vienna’s coffee shops, located at Sigmund-Freud-Park at the Northern edge of Vienna’s city center and on the opposite of the famous University of Vienna, between Schottentor and the Votivkirche, this impressive Habsburger church and a gift from the later Emperor of Mexico Ferdinand Maximilian devoted to his brother Austrian Emperor Franz Josef I for surviving an assassination attempt in 1853, you get a broad variety of goodies of the Austrian Pastry World for a reasonable price and you even can sit in the patio. Or you can enjoy your coffee and desserts inside, where much is pink, the companies color. The staff is friendly and the service is nice and you can have a time-out from bustling city, write something, read a book or the like, or just enjoying yourself. This place has a nice atmosphere and is not touristic at all, and is more a store where the locals meet for having a good time with delicious coffee and desserts. You will find much pink inside as pink is the color of the AIDA coffee shop chain with stores all across Vienna. I had a Café Verlängerter with a biscuit filled with yummy marmalade. Nie cake, ordered Aida Torte - little bit too sweet, and a latte. Enjoyed cake, there was a nice selection. Coffee was fine but felt it was overpriced as paid nearly €5 for a single latte. The staff looked bored and almost annoyed to be serving us.
