in a very vulgar way. We also found garbage at the floor so the room was obviously not cleaned, the bed was just made up with old linen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well.. except the comfortable beds, the rest was very disappointing. A lot of things to improve.
I do agree with most of the comments, the Italian guy running the hostel is very unfriendly, he sounds like he doesn't want guests in the hostel.
He sells you the idea that you can use the upper dining at your convenience, but then he doesn't want you up, so makes everything possible to keep you in the basement justifying himself saying up is all caos and stress.. (and when you check up, there is just 4 people having breakfast....)
I mean, you literally live in a basement, and there isn't any windows in the lower dining room, so it's quite a sad place.
Even mountain lodges at 2.000 meters high were better run and with more charismatic people.. won't recommend this place if you have an alternative.
Btw, the beckerei in front of it is a wonderful place to get some fresh and delicious croissants, with very warm and friendly stuff.. ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t understand al the positive reviews, it was awful, very noisy, old broken stuff (shower, toilet, door, broken tiles) not artistic at all and a very UNPLEASANT WELCOME by arrogant owner(?).
Well, breakfast was okay but too crowded at Corona-time, no C-cautions at all.
Till deep at night people walking up and down the wooden stairs. Bed too short for person of 1.85 and pillow was like concrete, toooooo hard.
So no place to be to rest.
