Nice for walking and enjoying the sun. There is also a barbecue area, but I didn't use it, in summer it was definitely relaxing by the water!

K	KAKAO_IN_GLASS on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Also der Ort an und für sich ist ja ganz gut, aber wie kommt es dass hier permanent irgendwelche Deutschen mit ihren Wohnmobilen gratisparken Geiern? Der einzige Parkplatz den es in der Nähe des Zikkurates gibt ist permanent mit irgendwelchen Wohnmobilen aus wer weiß wo zugestellt. Wie findet man diesen Ort eigentlich. Trotzdem tolle Aussicht. So the place in and of itself is quite good, but how come there are Germans with their mobile homes that are permanently parking here for free? The only parking lot that there is near the ziggurat is permanently blocked with some mobile homes from who knows where. How do you actually find this place. Still great view.

r	robert achleitner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Großes Natur Areal mit vielen Wasservögel, kleinem Bootshafen, einem Hügel mit großer Rundumsicht, Grillplatz - leider für Hunde tabu, da ein paar Schafe auch dort sein sollen. Large nature area with many water birds, small boat harbor, a hill with a great all-round view, barbecue area - unfortunately taboo for dogs, since a few sheep should also be there.
M	Maria Staudegger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Für mich eine unerwartet schöne Entdeckung: ein Naturjuwell in der Bucht von Selkach: bekannt als Zikkurat - Drauwelle. Ein Drauarm dreht sich hier wellenförmig ?ein und formt eine interessante Bucht. Besonders gut kann man die Welle von einem Grasshügel in der Nähe beobachten. Der Weg zum Gipfel dreht sich wie eine Schnecke oder eine Spirale hinauf. Daher der Name - in der babylonischen Baukunst hat Zikkurat einen stufenformigen Tempelturm bedeutet. Oben gibt es noch eine "Pfütze", in der sich die Gipfel der Karawanken wunderbar spiegeln. Man kann sie sogar "begehen" - mit Hilfe der Steine im Wasser. Den Hafen haben die Brüder Edmund und Tomas Hoke und Armin Guerino künstlerisch als Land-Art-Projekt gestaltet. Die viele verschiedene Vogelarten, vor allem Schwäne ?, fühlen sich hier offensichtlich sehr wohl. Direkt beim Wasser lädt auch ein Grillplatz zum Verweilen ein. Und das alles nur ein halbe Stunde Autofahrt von Klagenfurt entfernt! An unexpectedly beautiful discovery for me: a natural jewel in the bay of Selkach: known as a ziggurat - Drauwelle. An arm of the Drau turns here in waves ? and forms an interesting bay. You can watch the wave particularly well from a grass hill nearby. The path to the summit twists up like a snail or spiral. Hence the name - in Babylonian architecture ziggurat meant a tiered temple tower. At the top there is another "puddle" in which the peaks of the Karawanken are wonderfully reflected. You can even "walk" them - with the help of the stones in the water. The brothers Edmund and Tomas Hoke and Armin Guerino artistically designed the port as a land art project. The many different bird species, especially swans ?, obviously feel very comfortable here. A barbecue area right by the water also invites you to linger. And all that just half an hour's drive from Klagenfurt!
