Usually a mixed crowd between 20 and 60; very good beer and nice snacks (not the cheapest place but reasonable). Open till late. If you're in luck, you can get a connection to eduroam as Austrian Academy of Sciences is close by. Weather permitting, a few tables are placed outside.
Note that you're allowed to smoke and that most visitors are smokers, hence don't go there with any clothes you intend to wear the next day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy and relaxed. Fast and friendly service. Off the beaten path but close to the Centrum (St. Stephens). May be considered an "American dive bar" but is clean. No bad attitudes in this place. The bar is equipped with comprehensive glass sanitation equipment that is used regularly. Did not feel sick afterwards. Good selection of beer and alcohol. Bartender runs music mix. Ours did a superb job. Saw groups of both males and females arriving. Equal mix. Not a "sausage fest". Yes there is smoking inside so its good if you like to smoke. Otherwise just wash your clothes afterwards. Cheers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NO SIGN, DIFFICULT TO FIND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Not trying to come across as aggressive but I know many of my friends couldn't find it for a while because there is no sign. Cute Austrian bar. Not too big so rather cosy but still cute. Waitress/bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed at the time and forgot drinks a few times but it was a bit too busy for one person I guess. Nice beer and prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy, Laid back tavern with Czech beer on tap and some nice wines, and ice cold vodka :) The Architecture by maestro Hermann Czech has remained unchanged since the 70s.
