Nach der Fertigstellung der Nordautobahn A5 wurde die Ortsdurchfahrt neu gestaltet. Was bis dahin wegen des Durchzugverkehrs nicht denkbar war. Man kann sagen Wolkersdorf wurde komplett renoviert. Ein neuer Sportplatz, eine neue Höher bildende Schule, eine Renovierung des Schlosses und massive Wohnbauten sowie Betriebsansiedelungen im eco plus Wirtschaftspark veränderten die Stadt unübersehbar. Wolkersdorf ist. trotz seiner Nähe zu Wien ein lokaler Mittelpunkt für seine nähere Umgebung. Erst vor einigen Jahren wurde auch die Schnellbahn ausgebaut und verkehrt seither im 30 Minuten Takt nach/von Wien. Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel has undergone an unmistakable development over the past twenty years. After the completion of the A5 northern motorway, the through-road was redesigned. What was unthinkable until then because of the through traffic. One can say Wolkersdorf has been completely renovated. A new sports field, a new secondary school, a renovation of the castle and massive residential buildings as well as business settlements in the eco plus business park changed the city unmistakably. Wolkersdorf is. despite its proximity to Vienna, it is a local focal point for its immediate surroundings. The express train was only expanded a few years ago and has been running to / from Vienna every 30 minutes since then.

Hier gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Railway station in Wolkersdorf. Two S-Bahn lines and regional trains stop here. Connections to Laa and various cities south of Vienna. Bus station available. Several platforms. Station building with shop. Wolkersdorf is one of the few stations that still has a ticket counter staffed with staff. Located near the center. With parking space. There is nothing to criticize here.
