★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not the station you are looking for! Confusingly it has the same name as the main station. Also the construction works makes it difficult to get to, and there is very little in terms of signage, to either station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You will load your car or motorcycle onto the transport wagon yourself. Our loading staff will ensure that your vehicle is secured properly. Please do not forget to retract or detach the radio antenna prior to loading and to disable your alarm system. After driving onto the transport wagon, please make sure that all windows are closed, that you have the vehicle in 1st gear and that the parking brake has been engaged. After this, please lock your car. Passengers and animals are not allowed to remain in the vehicle. For safety reasons, only closed ski carriers are allowed. Ski bags, on the other hand, are not permitted. Please note that these trains travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h. Motorcycles are transported on the transport wagon’s lower deck and may be up to 158 cm tall (incl. fairings). The regulations of the ÖBB Manual for Domestic and International Travels apply to the transport of motor vehicles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ultimately, a pretty easy trip on the Car-Train from Vienna (Autoreisezuganlage) to Düsseldorf despite poor signage and some confusion. Firstly, signage to the entrance of the Car-Train was almost non-existent, we guessed at an entrance off the main road that looked half finished, and luckily we were correct. We queued with other cars, but again there wasn't any signage to tell us we were in the right place or the right queue. Facilities were basic, but clean and good quality (toilets were available a short walk under the platform, but no refreshments). Tip: search for the approximate weight of your car, as we were asked and had no idea (thanks Google!), and also find out how to lock your car without the alarm activated (had no idea, thanks again Google!) - when the car is on the transport wagon it needs to be locked but not alarmed as the car moves during the train journey and the alarm would otherwise go off the entire trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a longtime customer, we have booked a deluxe compartment (with shower and WC) for our trip from Vienna to Feldkirch. What was for a surprise when we had to sleep in an absolutely common compartment for 4 people which was directly beside the WC for the whole cart. We were just degraded without telling us a single word!
Other guys which are obviously not travelling so often and are not the business clients could stay in their deluxe compartments. This is a really interesting way of treating the important customers. Very bad experience.
There was an option to move us to another wagon, but the chief of train considered this too complicated. The train chief Nr. 88992 even wanted to fire us out of the train because we were asking for a reasonable explanation.
Nobody knows who and how was made the decision why we had to sleep in such a low-end box.
