Der Weg dorthin war nicht allzu weit und auch nicht allzu anstrengend. Für jeden Esel Liebhaber ein absolutes Muss ansonsten aber für einen ruhigen Spaziergang mehr als eine Empfehlung wert. We combined the visit to the white donkey with a walk in the nature reserve. The way there wasn't too far and not too strenuous either. An absolute must for every donkey lover, but worth more than a recommendation for a quiet walk.

Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, besonders bei Sonnenuntergang. The observation tower is adventurous and not for someone with a fear of heights. The donkeys are super cute but not trusting. The view is amazing, especially at sunset.

Und die weissen Esel zu bestaunen war mal was ganz neues. Somewhat remote from the main road, easily accessible on foot or by bike. The sunset there was beautiful. And to marvel at the white donkeys was something completely new.

H	Harald Dragan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein schöner Spaziergang durch den Nationalpark führt auf circa halben Wege nach Sandeck. Es mutet fast wie ein Ausflug in die Steppe Afrikas an. Nur mit Wasserbüffeln, weißen Eseln und vielerlei Vogelarten. Am Weg kommen einem Kutschen entgegen, die von Illmitz aus eine Rundfahrt durch das Gebiet machen. Der Aussichtsturm hat historische Bedeutung als Grenzturm aus der Zeit des Eisernen Vorhangs. Er wurde umplatziert, um nun eine wesentlich schönere Funktion für Ausflügler zu bieten. A nice walk through the national park leads about halfway to Sandeck. It almost seems like a trip to the steppe of Africa. Only with water buffalo, white donkey and all kinds of birds. On the way, a carriages come towards you, making a tour of the area from Illmitz. The observation tower has historical significance as a border tower from the time of the Iron Curtain. It was relocated to offer a much nicer function for day trippers.
