h	herbemischung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein großartiges Weingut (ältestes Weingut Österreichs?). Wir hatten eine Führung durch eine riesige Kellerlandschaft und anschließend eine Weinverkostung. Die Betreuung war (soweit ich das beurteilen kann) sehr kompetent und freundlich. Besonders genial finde ich die Mischung aus den alten Gebäuden des Stiftes und den modernen Anlagen für die Weinherstellung. A great winery (oldest winery in Austria?). We had a guided tour through a huge cellar landscape and then a wine tasting. The support was (as far as I can tell) very competent and friendly. I especially like the mixture of the old buildings of the monastery and the modern facilities for wine making.

Man zahlt für die Probe von Weinen, was ich auch ok finde, aber man hat dann nicht die Wahl welche Weine man probieren möchte. Das wird einem sofort nach dem Zahlen recht schroff mitgeteilt und im Anschluss hat man das Gefühl, dass auch noch geknausert wird. Eine andere Person, die neben mir verkostet hatte, hatte noch nicht den letzten der Weine eingeschenkt bekommen der in dem Probepreis inkludiert war. Hatte dann nachgefragt und wurde von dem Angestellten zurechtgewiesen, das Sie bereits alle Weine probiert hätte. Dann wurde von Seiten des Angestellten zusammen mit der Kundin nochmal aufgezählt welche Weine bereits probiert wurden und siehe da, die Kundin hatte Recht: Es fehlte noch einer. Keine Entschuldigung von Seiten des Angestellten. Stattdessen mürrisches Einschenken. So verkauft man halt keinen Wein. Für mich hieß es dann Probeschlücke trinken und nichts wie weg. Marketingdesaster. Sehr schade, denn der Ort ist an sich sehr schön. Unter diesen Rahmenbedingungen schmeckt der Wein allerdings überhaupt nicht. Unfortunately, the employee in the wine shop was very arrogant and unsympathetic. You pay for the sample of wines, which I think is ok, but you do not have to choose which wines you want to try. This is immediately after the numbers quite abruptly communicated and afterwards one has the feeling that also geknausert. Another person who had tasted next to me had not yet received the last of the wines included in the trial price. Had then asked and was rebuked by the staff that you had already tasted all the wines. Then on the part of the employee together with the customer again listed which wines were already tried and lo and behold, the customer was right: There was still one missing. No apology from the employee. Instead, grumpy pouring. So you do not sell wine. For me then it was called Probeschlücke drink and nothing like away. Marketing disaster. Too bad, because the place is very nice. However, under these conditions, the wine does not taste at all.

K	Kleine Person on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nette Weinkellerführung, beeindruckender Weinkeller. Sehr schöner und hochwertiger Shop mit Weinen, Säften und vielem mehr. Wir haben für unsere Lieben zu Hause z.B. Kürbiskernöl mitgebracht - kam super an, passt gerade im Herbst richtig gut zu einer Kürbissuppe. Nice wine cellar tour, impressive wine cellar. Very nice and high quality shop with wines, juices and much more. For example, we brought pumpkin seed oil for our loved ones at home - it was a hit, goes really well with a pumpkin soup, especially in autumn.
T	Testing Around on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Äußerst gutes Sortiment an Weinen und kleinen Leckerein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schaue immer wieder gerne vorbei. Extremely good range of wines and small delicacies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I like to stop by again and again.

L	Lisa Sromek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very modern, sleek and contemporary Austrian tasting room; not too formal, but unlike anything you would find in Napa Valley. Easily accessible by bus, as it is located just outside Vienna proper--which makes it a perfect activity to include as part of a daytrip to explore the historic Klosterneuberg area. It is possible to try some very interesting wines here, made with grapes that go beyond the expected (e.g. gruner veltliner) and push the boundaries on anyone who identifies with either white vs. red as a preference. My favorite, however, is the Sankt Laurent.

Guided tours of good quality about the vineyards, history and cloister treasures (separate tours) at reasonable prices. Accessible by bus and through the Viennese underground from a nearby station (at 10minutes walk from the cloister) Vinery delivers ordered bottles to multiple countries.
