Der Winzer Simon Engel hat mit diesem relativ jungen Weingut in kürzester Zeit sich weit über die Landesgrenzen Reputation für seine Vinifikationen erarbeitet. Drei Weinlinien charakterisieren das Portfolio: KLASSIK - charaktertypische Weine mit guter Struktur und ausbalancierter Säure ORTSWEINE - typische, facettenreich und körperreichere Weine (Referenz: Traminer, gelb. Traminer!!!) LAGENWEINE - sehr individuelle Charakteristik, zumeist im Holzfass ausgebaut, tlw. Tonei oder auch Orange Weine (Signature Wein : Grauburgunder vom Köcher Berg) Wer auf understatement und nicht schreiend populistische Winzer steht ist bei Simon Engel als Tau-Winzer richtig! Lass dich überraschen und begeistern! Chapeau! ? ? ? The winery Engel constantly produces winners of wine tastings (most recently Riesling DAC '19). The winegrower Simon Engel has worked with this relatively young winery in no time to earn far beyond the country's reputation for its vinification. Three wine lines characterize the portfolio: CLASSIC - Characteristic wines with good structure and balanced acidity ORTSWEINE - typical, multi-faceted and bodied wines (reference: Traminer, yellow, Traminer !!!) LAGENWEINE - very individual characteristics, mostly matured in wooden barrels, partly Tonei or even Orange wines (Signature wine: Pinot Gris from Köcher Berg) Who is on understatement and not screaming populist winemakers is right at Simon Engel as a Tau winemaker! Let yourself be surprised and excited! Chapeau! ? ? ?
K	Klemens Edlinger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recht gute Weine, die wir vor Ort genossen, allerdings wurden uns die ab hof Preise gezeigt. Verrechnet wurde aber dann natürlich mehr - was grundsätzlich auch völlig ok ist - aber es ist eben nicht die feine Art andere Preise zu zeigen, wenn man weiß dass die gr. Gruppe vor Ort konsumiert... Das Kernöl hier ist aber jedenfalls geschmacklich und preislich zu empfehlen. Quite good wines that we enjoyed on site, but we were shown the prices from the farm. Of course, more was then billed - which is fundamentally completely okay - but it is not the fine way to show other prices if you know that the large group consumes on site ... In any case, the core oil here is recommended in terms of taste and price.

Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Rieslinge. Winzer Simon versteht sein Handwerk! Relaxed, family atmosphere on the farm. Relaxed tasting and chatting. Very extensive range of wines with a depth of vintage. Particularly noteworthy are the Rieslings. Vintner Simon knows his trade!
A	Anita Struckl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gemütlich, kurze Rast nach einer Wanderung durch eine Traumhafte Weingegend. Ein Glaserl herrlich gekühlten Muscaris vom Feinsten, Herz was willst du mehr! Comfortable, short rest after a hike through a dreamy wine region. A glass of wonderfully chilled muscaris at its finest, heart what more could you want!
N	Nicolas Fedrigotti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ wir waren "zufällig" in der gegend. da gab's am nachmittag quasi eine spontanverkostung. was soll ich sagen - sehr sehr feine weine. viel neues gelernt, viel schöne geschichten, jede flasche/sorte/etikett hat eine story. wer mal das thema wein anders und frisch/jung erleben will ist hier genau richtig. super nette familie. und wirklich schönes platzerl! besuch zahlt sich aus. wein-einkauf sowieso!!!! we were "by chance" in the area. there was a kind of spontaneous tasting in the afternoon. what can I say - very very fine wines. learned a lot of new things, a lot of nice stories, every bottle / type / label has a story. if you want to experience the subject of wine differently and fresh / young, this is the place for you. super nice family. and really nice place! visit pays off. wine shopping anyway !!!!

Sensational good wines and super nice people !!! Highly recommended is the wine hike through the vineyards between Klöch and Tieschen.
