Nicht so leicht zu finden: Man geht in das Gasthaus "Zum Wehrturm" und bittet die netten Wirtsleute um den Schlüssel zum Turm. Der Weg zum Turm führt dann hinter das Gasthaus. Der Beitrag für die Erhaltung des Bauwerks beträgt moderate € 2,--..
Dem Besuch des Turms steht nach diesem Prozedere nichts mehr im Weg.
Die Beschreibungen vor und im Turm sind höchst informativ und - besonders positiv zu vermerken - sehr gut lesbar!
Von der Aussichtsplattform aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick über Palterndorf weit hin bis zu den Kleinen Karpaten.
Nach der Besichtigung nicht vergessen: Schlüssel wieder zurückbringen!
 A Gothic defense tower (first mentioned in 1414) in the middle of Palterndorf.
Not so easy to find: You go to the inn "Zum Wehrurm" and ask the friendly landlords for the key to the tower. The way to the tower then leads behind the inn. The contribution for the maintenance of the building is a moderate € 2.
After this procedure, nothing stands in the way of visiting the tower.
The descriptions in front of and in the tower are highly informative and - especially positive - very legible!
From the viewing platform you have a wonderful view over Palterndorf as far as the Little Carpathians.
Don't forget to bring the key back after the tour!
