Super
For the visit from Wales, we looked for information material for the Wachau in English. And also found a map of Vienna in English. Super

Wachau is totally beautiful but very unfriendly and absolutely no helpful staff in the tourist center. I felt almost bad asking for information. It's a shame that you are so unfriendly to the tourists.

The last stop on our Danube cruise was Melk Abbey in the Wachau, we took the bus to the abbey parking lot. Then the visit took place. The story is very interesting that it was brought to us by a tour guide who did a very good job. Because we only got a glimpse of the rooms of the abbey, the tour was quickly over. A visit is always worthwhile.

Information in English and map. Speak as much German as you can, as otherwise they're not as welcoming.

Not sure where else to post this so doing it here. Go to Melk, rent a bicycle (€16 cash only) down by the river, ride it along the Danube and drop it off in Krems. We got there a little early in the spring and the wineries were closed but it was still worthwhile with beautiful views. South side is more scenic and north side has more towns.
