★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super nettes und zuvorkommendes Team, geräumiges modernes Zimmer, geniales Abendessen, tolles Frühstücksbuffet, schöner Wellnessbereich - uns hat es wirklich rundum gefallen und wir kommen wieder!
 Super nice and courteous team, spacious modern room, great dinner, great breakfast buffet, beautiful wellness area - we really liked it all and will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Hotel ist der wahnsinn. Der Gast ist König hier. Ich und meine Freundin wurden sehr gut behandelt. Die Küche hat extra vegan und glutenfrei für uns gekocht. Wir sind sicher nicht die einfachsten Gäste, weil wir keine sind die sich ein Blatt vor den Mund nehmen und ehrlich sagen wenn etwas nicht passt. Zu meinen Geburstag kamen sie dann im Restaurant mit einem selbst gemachten kleinen Kuchen und einer Kerze. Natürlich glutenfrei und vegan, was anderes kommt uns nicht ins Hotel. Danke nochmals an die Küche und an die Kellnerin. Wir sind nicht die leichtesten Gäste, doch ihr habt uns einen tollen Urlaub geschenkt. Auch die ruhige Dame am Telefon beim Service ist der wahnsinn. So ruhig und nett, warum können nicht alle Menschen so sein.
The hotel is amazing. The guest is king here. Me and my girlfriend were treated very well. The kitchen cooked extra vegan and gluten-free food for us. We're certainly not the easiest of guests, because we're not the kind of people who mince words and honestly say if something doesn't fit. For my birthday they came to the restaurant with a homemade cake and a candle. Of course gluten-free and vegan, nothing else comes to us in the hotel. Thanks again to the kitchen and to the waitress. We are not the easiest of guests, but you gave us a great holiday. The quiet lady on the phone for service is amazing. So calm and kind, why can't all people be like that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfekter Kurzurlaub - vom Zimmer über das Service bis zum Wellness Bereich passt alles. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Essen, es war ausgezeichnet und kreativ.
Perfect short break - from the room to the service to the wellness area, everything is fine. The food deserves a special mention, it was excellent and creative.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's relatively easy to find a wellness structure that takes care of your body, way more difficult is to find one that takes care of your vacation.
Our stay at Vulkanlandhotel Legenstein (2 nights) has been mind-relaxing, spirit-recharging and body-restoring.
All what you read about the family atmosphere is true. The hosts are excellent in what they're doing. The hotel is quite small (50-70 guests) and this makes the experience not too crowded.
Also, congratulations to the kitchen for the excellent food they provide. Local ingredients are the basic of what they are doing and this enhances the out-of-the-city experience. Also the barman - whose politeness is funnily matched by a pretty judgmental look for any cocktail ordered before 4pm (understandable) - is great.
Sure enough there are a couple of hiccups, the easiest to fix one are the mattresses, a bit too firm for our taste, but in general we felt perfectly treated and the Monday after that weekend is a bit less Monday than usual...see you soon!
--- Update ---
We came back after almost one year since the last stay: the hotel is still the gem that we remembered and we can't wait for coming back again.
The spa area is clean and comfortable and it provides genuinely relaxing time. This time, we used the gym, that is small but well equipped. We also added a massage to the whole experience: it has been enjoyed almost as much as the note left in our bedroom by the management. Truly exceptional customer care. Another great point is related to the fact that the reception prepared a pre-filled check-in document, in order to speed up the process: it made a difference.
Finally, we suspect Franz (the bartender) has something especially magical going on in his life, because he was particularly jolly and happy this time: we can't wait for tasting his cocktails (exceptional gin tonic) again!
