A nice wine shop that is a little out of the way and is worth the detour. He specializes in wines from around Vienna. Affordable prices and very friendly boss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mir gefällt, dass die NÖ-Vinothek sich auf die namensgebenden Regionen konzentriert und sich nicht einfach für alles zum Experten erklärt. Dafür war selbst bei der vermutlich eher selten nachgefragten Sorte "Roter Veltliner" (ein Weißwein!) eine respektable Auswahl vorhanden. Erfreulich auch, dass die Produkte zum ab-Hof Preis angeboten werden, was zumindest für 2 Weine, für die ich den Preis beim Winzer kannte, zutraf. Eine kompetente Beratung vervollständigte meinen positiven Eindruck bei meinem ersten Einkauf dort.
I like that the Lower Austrian Vinothek concentrates on the regions that give it its name and doesn't simply declare itself to be an expert on everything. On the other hand, there was a respectable selection available even for the "Roter Veltliner" variety (a white wine!), Which is probably rarely in demand. It is also gratifying that the products are offered at the farm-gate price, which was true at least for 2 wines for which I knew the price at the winemaker. Competent advice completed my positive impression on my first purchase there.
