M	Mike Kraml on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Erstmals haben wir von dem Lokal via Facebook erfahren und dann zufälligerweise auf Empfehlung eines kleinen Weinbauern in Kreta. Zum Jahreswechsel haben wir uns dann spontan entschlossen nach Wien zu fahren um die Villa Maria kennen zu lernen. Obwohl das Lokal gerade Weihnachtsferien hatte, wurde unsere Reservierungsanfrage via Facebook vom Chef umgehend beantwortet. Auch wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass am 1. Tag nach den Ferien noch nicht das gesamte Speisenangebot zur Verfügung stehen wird. Aber die Fahrt nach Wien hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Wir wurden freundlichst empfangen, hatten köstliche Vorspeisen und ein Hühnerstifado. Begleitet von speziellen Bierproben (Oliven und Bitterorange) und kretischen Wein. Natürlich haben wir die Gelegenheit genutzt und kräftig eingekauft. Das dabei erworbene Apaki gab es dann zu Hause mit Kritarotho. Ein Traum! Auch der nachträgliche Online-Einkauf war problemlos und der Oreganoblüten-Gin hervorragend! Wenn wir wieder nach Wien kommen, dann auf jeden Fall auch wieder zur Villa Maria. We first found out about the restaurant via Facebook and then coincidentally on the recommendation of a small wine farmer in Crete. At the turn of the year we spontaneously decided to go to Vienna to get to know Villa Maria. Although the restaurant just had Christmas holidays, our reservation request via Facebook was answered immediately by the boss. We were also informed that the entire range of dishes will not be available on the first day after the holidays. But the trip to Vienna was definitely worth it. We received a warm welcome, had delicious appetizers and a chicken stifado. Accompanied by special beer tasting (olives and bitter orange) and Cretan wine. Of course we took the opportunity and bought a lot. The apaki acquired in the process was then given at home with Kritarotho. A dream! The subsequent online purchase was also problem-free and the oregano blossom gin was excellent! If we come to Vienna again, we will definitely come back to Villa Maria.

Dazu gibt es Köstlichkeiten der griechischen Küche und viele Leckereien zum Mitnehmen. Günstiger Mittagstisch wird auch geboten. Immer wieder ein Erlebnis! Great restaurant with a very personal charm. Incredibly solid and selected wine offer. There are also delicacies from Greek cuisine and many delicacies to take away. Inexpensive lunch menu is also offered. Always an experience!

When we asked why it was taking so long, the waitress explained that the kitchen was working on tomorrow’s lunch, without seeming to realize - or care - that perhaps they should concentrate on serving their guests at that point in time.

I don’t know why it states it is temporary closed. I recommend that you stop by if you love greek and mediterranean food.
