★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most people actually attempt to study silently here. The atmosphere is great, as are the visuals and most lines of sight for eye relief. Desks are large and there is a power socket for every seat. If you are working on a tablet that lies flat on your desk, the desk lights will be a nuisance after dark, as their proximity makes for rather large reflections.
No drinks, coats, outdoor jackets or opaque bags permitted. You can get a key from the reception to lock your stuff up in a locker right below the big reading room. The maximum amount of time you're permitted to reserve a seat is 30 minutes.
