To climb steeply in 30 min. Super clear lake. Drinking water quality. Worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige hike door het steeds smaller lopende dal. Aan het einde zit dit prachtige meer. Je loopt even maar echt de moeite waard. Ook goed te doen met kinderen.
Beautiful hike through the ever narrower valley. At the end is this beautiful lake. You just walk but really worth it. Also doable with children.

Vom Schaidberg Jugendshotel Parkplatz bergauf fast 2 Stunden.
Due erste halbe Stunde vom Weg ist eun bisschen anstrengend, und dann der Weg ist normal.
Von Twenger almsee kann man auch Schönalmsee erreichen, 15 Minuten weiter bergauf.
A beautiful mountain lake,
From the Schaidberg Jugendshotel car park uphill almost 2 hours.
The first half an hour of the trail is a bit tiring, and then the trail is normal.
From Twenger almsee you can also reach Schönalmsee, 15 minutes further uphill.

Aufstieg für ungeübte etwas schwer aber machbar und wenn man oben ist wird man für den Weg mehr als belohnt. Auf der Alm unterhalb des Sees wird man sehr nett und schnell bedient. Lecker Brottheit und Getränke zu einem guten Preis. Kommen bestimmt wieder.
Super beautiful lake in a picturesque setting.
Ascent for the inexperienced a little difficult but manageable and when you are at the top you will be more than rewarded for the way. On the alpine pasture below the lake you are served very nicely and quickly. Delicious bread and drinks at a good price. Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na jezero jsme se vydali s průvodcem který pracuje přes léto pro infocentrum v Obertauern . Cesta k jezeru trvá asi 2 hodiny a vede přes horské pastviny. Závěr je trochu strmější ale pohled na jezero a jeho okolí stojí za to. Cca 15 min od jezera se nachází útulná horská chata.
We went to the lake with a guide who works during the summer for the information center in Obertauern. The journey to the lake takes about 2 hours and goes through mountain pastures. The conclusion is a bit steeper but the view of the lake and its surroundings is worth it. About 15 min from the lake is a cozy mountain chalet.
