Two stars deduction because of the gravel instead of the sandy beach, and because of the large stones in some cases when you go into the water, which is not so good for a child-friendly pool.

R	René Kempe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schönes Strandbad im Ort Bodensdorf am nördlichen Ufer vom Ossiacher See. Am See ist es eines der größten Strandbäder. Es ist für Familien mit (kleinen) Kindern und auch für "größere" Gäste geeignet. Am Kieselstrand geht es flach ins Wasser und ein Holzsteg begrenzt den Nichtschwimmerbereich, sodass ein ausreichend großer Wasserbereich für Kinder/Nichtschwimmer vorhanden ist. Am Steg befindet sich Richtung See/Schwimmerbereich ein 1m-Brett zum Springen. Die Liegewiese ist sehr groß, sodass es auch in der Sommerhochsaison (Juli) bei über 30 Grad Lufttemperatur nicht eng wurde. Im Strandbad gibt es einen Beachvolleyballplatz, einen Basketballplatz mit einem Korb (war zu unserer Zeit leider defekt), einen kleinen Kinderspielplatz (mit großem Schirm über dem großen Sandbereich), WC-Anlagen, Umkleiden und das Strandrestaurant. Bei Bedarf kann man sich vor Ort Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme ausleihen. Direkt am Strandbad gibt es auch einen Verleih für diversen Wassersport (Tretbote, SUP u.s.w.). Wir waren hier in unserem 14-Tägigen Urlaub mindestens 7 x baden und haben keinen Grund gehabt, an anderen Stellen des Sees baden zu gehen. Ähnlich groß scheint das Strandbad im Ort Ossiach am Südufer zu sein. Dieser bietet zwar noch eine große Wasserrutsche. Allerdings ist der Nichtschwimmer-/Strandbereich nicht so schön für (kleine) Kinder geeignet. Beautiful lido in the village of Bodensdorf on the north bank of Lake Ossiach. It is one of the largest bathing beaches by the lake. It is suitable for families with (small) children and also for "older" guests. On the pebble beach, it goes flat into the water and a boardwalk delimits the non-swimmer area, so that there is a sufficiently large water area for children / non-swimmers. At the jetty there is a 1m board for jumping towards the lake / swimmer area. The lawn for sunbathing is very large, so it wasn't cramped even in the summer high season (July) when the air temperature was over 30 degrees. In the lido there is a beach volleyball court, a basketball court with a basket (unfortunately it was broken at our time), a small children's playground (with a large umbrella over the large sand area), toilet facilities, changing rooms and the beach restaurant. If necessary, sun loungers and parasols can be borrowed on site. Directly at the lido there is also a rental for various water sports (pedal boats, SUP, etc.). We went swimming here at least 7 times during our 14-day holiday and had no reason to go swimming anywhere else on the lake. The lido in Ossiach on the south bank seems to be similar in size. This still offers a large water slide. However, the non-swimmer / beach area is not so nice for (small) children.
A	Astrid Schraffl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nettes öffentliches Strandbad. Nichts Außergewöhnliches, aber alles da, was man braucht. Kleiner Spielplatz, schöne Liegewiese, Essen im Restaurant sehr lecker (keine Kartenzahlung möglich!) Feiner Badebereich für Kleinkinder, ein Sprungbrett, allerdings keine Rutschen oder ähnliches. Nice public bathing area. Nothing out of the ordinary, but everything you need is there. Small playground, beautiful sunbathing lawn, very tasty food in the restaurant (no card payment possible!) Fine bathing area for small children, a springboard, but no slides or the like.

S	Sabine Weiß on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr schön viiiieel platz, wenig leute am vormittag. Man kann gemütlich einen kaffee auf der terrasse trinken und die kinder spielen am strand!! Sehr gut überschaubar, kommen wieder!! Sprungbrett gibts auch!! Very nice viiiieel place, few people in the morning. You can comfortably drink a coffee on the terrace and the children play on the beach! Very well arranged, will be back! There is also a springboard!
