The park in front was ok, never go after 5:00 PM, because obviously everything is closed. Anything else i didn't see but the fact that this information of the time the Bibliothek is available to go in just to see the hall is not ok. But of course we just went because it was on the way to our destination.

On our way to Halstatt..we had a stop here to have a peek into history. Preserving the age old manuscripts ..in it's original form is indeed commendable. Pictures inside the library is prohibited unless one had paid and got a ticket for taking pictures. There are no staircase or ladders visible to reach you the first floor or balcony where manuscripts are also stored. Then we were shown the hidden secret staircase concealed within the bookshelf to go up to the first floor or the balcony. Lovely painting in the ceiling too. They have a small sovereigns shop too. The landscape around this structure is also very scenic and beautiful. Flowers and lake add to it's beauty.

A very beautiful abbey. The little town around it is very beautiful, and also the place, with the mountains, the hills and the big green grasslands, it's something magical. When I've been here, there was a little festival, with some stand, where you can buy good-tasted food. The Abbey has some museums in it: I visited the natural history museum and it's very beautiful, with a big collection of animals and minerals. The library, for which the Abbey is famous, is the biggest and the most beautiful I've ever seen: the decoration of the floor is an optical illusion, and on the roof there are very beautiful allegorical paintings.

Absolutely beautiful Library. I absolutely love secret doors. And the stages of life statues were magnificent! My only regret is that we did not have enough time there.

You have to pay 11,50 euro per person for the entry but if you love history and art, that amount is nothing compares to what you will get to see inside. Plus collections of stones and animal species from around the world, some I believe are already extinct. Highly recommended.
