Balthasar Egger, a citizen of Zell, and his housewife Regina Stainerin, sold a Gartnerlehen (Weinlehen) in 1577 to the trade brothers Karl and Hans Rosenberger. They then built today's castle in 1583.

Nice town hall in a former castle, very nice place framed by mountains. Holidays in this region highly recommended.
