Sie war ein wichtiger Handelsstützpunkt (Salzamt in der Hallstattzeit) vom Mittelalter weg (Bürgerstadt mit vielen Zünften) über die Neuzeit gesehen bis einschließlich das 19. Jahrhundert. Schließlich im 20. Jahrhundert ein Ort mit traditioneller eisenverarbeitender Industrie und aufstrebender Tourismusort mit sagenhafte Vergangenheit. Aber auch zeitgenössischer Geschichte - siehe Ksndeskrankenhaus!
A beautiful 1000 year old city with a venerable past. It was an important trading post (Salzamt in the Hallstatt period) from the Middle Ages (a town with many guilds) through modern times up to and including the 19th century. Finally in the 20th century a place with a traditional iron processing industry and an up-and-coming tourist destination with a legendary past. But also contemporary history - see Ksndeskrankenhaus!
