★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer sich auf der Brenner Autobahn oder Brenner Bundesstraße befindet, sollte unbedingt einen Abstecher nach "Obernberg am Brenner" machen.
Ca. 40 Kilometer südlich von Innsbruck entfernt, befindet sich in der kleinen Gemeinde - ein kleines Bergbauerndorf - mit ca. 400 Einwohner.
Auf einen Moränenhügel steht die imposante St. Nikolauskirche, umgeben von Birken, Lärchen und den äußerst markanten Felsen der Tribulaune im Hintergrund ❤️
Die St. Nikolauskirche selbst - sehr schön, sauber und sehr gepflegt!
Bei Betreten der Kirche - kommen wahrlich "Kindheitserinnerungen" auf, dies aufgrund der schönen weihnachtlichen Dekorationen ?❤️?
Nun ja, man könnte sogar sagen, "Weihnachten wies früher war!"
Ein großes Lob an diejenigen, die mit Liebe die St. Nikolauskirche so weihnachtlich schmückten!
Der Patron der Obernberger Kirche, ist der hl. Nikolaus von Myra.
Ein großes und sehr schönes Gewölbefresko im Langhaus, schildert die Glorie des hl. Nikolaus.
In den Schildbogenfeldern finden sich kartuschenartig gerahmte - auf die 4 letzten Dinge der Menschheit hinweisende Darstellungen sowie auf Begebenheiten aus dem Leben des Kirchenpatrons.
Das um 1760 entstandene Hochaltarbild zeigt die Verehrung Mariens und das Jesukind durch den hl. Nikolaus.
Eine sehr schöne Rokokokanzel, eine mechanische Schleifladenorgel sowie die beiden Seitenaltäre - Hl. Notburga und Hl. Isidor - krönen das barocke Raumkonzept!
Ein Abstecher zur Kirche lohnt sich auch für alle Fotografen und Maler, da dies wohl in Nordtirol die schönste Kirche mit d. Tribulaune im Hintergrund, ist!!
Nach Besichtigung der Nikolauskirche gehts weiter zum wunderschönen Obernberger See❤️
If you are on the Brenner autobahn or the Brenner federal road, you should definitely make a detour to "Obernberg am Brenner".
About 40 kilometers south of Innsbruck is located in the small community - a small mountain farming village - with about 400 inhabitants.
The imposing St. Nicholas Church stands on a moraine hill, surrounded by birches, larches and the extremely striking rocks of the Tribulaune in the background ❤️
The St. Nikolauskirche itself - very nice, clean and very well maintained!
When entering the church - "childhood memories" truly come up, due to the beautiful Christmas decorations ?❤️?
Well, you could even say, "Christmas pointed out earlier!"
Kudos to those who lovingly decorated St. Nicholas' Church for Christmas!
The patron saint of the Obernberg church is St. Nicholas of Myra.
A large and very beautiful vault fresco in the nave depicts the glory of St. Nicholas.
In the arched shields there are cartouche-like framed representations pointing to the 4 last things of humanity as well as to events from the life of the church patron.
The high altar picture, created around 1760, shows the veneration of Mary and the infant Jesus by St. Nicholas.
A very beautiful rococo pulpit, a mechanical slide organ and the two side altars - St. Notburga and St. Isidore - crown the baroque room concept!
A detour to the church is also worthwhile for all photographers and painters, as this is probably the most beautiful church in North Tyrol with d. Tribulaune in the background is !!
After visiting the Nikolauskirche, we continue to the beautiful Obernberger See❤️
