This is one of the few places that truly deserves some a five star rating. While almost every other Thai Restaurant is trying to serve Austrians this place is just serving real Thai food. Contrary to some of the comments, the lady is extremly polite and friendly. She often gives fresh ingrediants from her garden to her guests.Just obey the rules which should be obvious, since you are a guest entering her space. Make sure you make a reservations in a timely manner(few days before) because the space is limited and the opening hours are tight. I am very sad we dont have more places like this in our city but this jewel should be preserved and supported.

The food was not delicious at all. I was expecting a really exotic food , but chicken curry was too spicy and sweet at the same time. So the taste became unpleasant. Thai Wok with prawns was a little better, but it was not the best which I ever tested. Prices were very high! Chairs are not comfortable, place is very small.

Pretty much one of the best Thai food places in all of Vienna. If it says spicy on the menu it really is spicy. Also: if you make a reservation one day in advance, Sri will prepare food to your liking that's not listed on the menu.

It makes me laugh when I read a poor review saying like “the curry was bad because it was spicy and sweet at the same time!” A good curry should have the both elements! Thai dishes always have complex layers of taste, texture and color. If you don’t like the food there, you have been eating non-authentic Asian food for too long. Although their food is quite spicy, it is the most authentic Thai food I ever had outside of Thailand. Tips for the restaurant: They recommend customers to order food before going to the restaurant because it takes them over an hour to prepare food. It is quite inconvenient but once you know how to “use” the restaurant, you have a little Thailand in Vienna. Curry dishes are quick though.

The real deal for delicious and (if you want it) face-melting spicy northern Thai food cooked by a very nice Thai auntie. Limited seating but a nice outdoor area during the summer.

An amazing experience of Thai food in.Vienna that immediately transposes you to Thailand. It pains me to see previous reviews, as Mrs and Mr Gumpoldsberger, who have run this restaurant for over 15 years are such great hosts that you feel like you've entered their home. Yes, they have strict rules - everyone at the table has to order a meal, children below 14 are not allowed and PDA is considered inappropirate. Maybe worth checking out their website and their rules before going there, to set the right expectations. But the service and the food are both memorable once you embrace their concept and accept that it will not be your typical Viennese night out. And, if you treat your hosts with a smile and empathise with their modus operandi, you will discover a gem that is difficult to find in this part of the world nowadays.

Small Thai restaurant. She is a great cook. Menu is limited but she makes everything herself and all with fresh products. Curry and Papaya Salad are just amazing… you cannot ask for less spicy… so you have to try the real thing! ? The Pad Krapao Gai was the spiciest ever! ?
