Sehr schweißtreibend, nicht nur wegen der Anstrengung, sondern auch weil es sich in einer Therme befindet. Preislich ist die Spinbox voll ok. Umkleide und Duschen sind auch sauber, aber recht klein.
Very sweaty, not only because of the exertion, but also because it is in a thermal bath. In terms of price, the Spinbox is completely ok. Changing rooms and showers are also clean, but quite small.

There are a limited amount of choices when it comes to taking spin classes in Vienna. Boutique studio-wise I was only able to find three providers which have a total of six studios among them. I had previously tried Super Cycle in the 7th District, but it was too SoulCycle-like for my taste (dance cycling). SpinBOX only has one studio and it's attached to a new neighborhood's gym facility. It is really simple to use. You can reserve a bike on their website and then you simply pay via a machine at the entrance. Since it's attached to a gym you have access to locker rooms and (rainforest!) showers. The lockers have digital set-a-code locks built in. The studio uses classic Spinning bikes (the original registered trademark). The bike pedals have SPD clips on one side and cages on the other. I took Judit's class, which was an hour long and had two long hills with several breaks. Other than some small resistance adjustments, all I had to pay attention to was whether we were sitting or standing (and the hand position for the later). The music playlist was great and there are even some small strobe lights to enhance the atmosphere. The class ended with some comprehensive stretching and the option to do some core work as well. I highly recommend this studio if you're looking to get a spin class in while in Vienna.
