The owner started shouting rudely to customers wearing light clothing but there was not even a hint of negative remarks to customers who were smoking and holding their lit cigarettes in a way that could burn people standing near as the place was overcrowded. Its funny how Austrians embraced Concita Wurst and the concept of being different but some of them seem to have still difficulties understanding that there are people not feeling cold as much as some others. Maybe this simple thing will be the task of another eurovision star in a few decades from now when hopefully the educational system will have produced citizens ready to grasp such simple concepts. Hopefully, the owner and the rest of the similarly minded people will have passed away without having left the planet completely destroyed. The levels of smoke from customers smoking is creating an unhealthy atmosphere leaving a distinctly bad smell on clothes. I do not think that in 21st century the owner cannot find an effective solution to that issue. Given the display of his character though, then such disregard to customers' health should be expected. We ordered an alcoholic drink which hardly contained any alcohol. The taste was similar to this of a soft drink. I think we were ripped off. Suggestion for future visitors: wear clothing almost compliant to Islamic standards to avoid the owners wrath, have a bottle of oxygen with you to help you breath when the smoke levels become way to high, have a fire extinguisher just in case some careless customer burns you with a cigarette, keep some anti burn cream with you, don't buy any alcoholic cocktail and you ll be just fine for the few minutes that you will manage to put up with that place.

We only came for drinks, and bartender was super! Felt like a hipster-y cheers location where it did feel like everyone knew each other's names. It was dim, intimate, had great drinks and good music that wasn't too loud to have conversations with your SO or small group.

Phenomenal place! Great cocktails, excellent wine list, expedient and friendly service and really unique interior location. Will absolutely visit here again next time in Vienna - even with the smoke in the bar :(

We had to wait almost 1 hour for simply two Wienerschnitzel and one Gulasch. When asking the waiter when our food was going to come, he simply shrugged. No apologies for the waiting whatsoever. On top they did not serve coffee. Plus, the place is not cheap at all. At least the food was nice.

Came here twice in the last two days, really liked the vibe and the food. The service was prompt and courteous, adequate wait times despite place being very busy on New Year’s Eve. Our waiter Alex was great: funny and uber efficient, exemplary service. Try their oriental lentil soup and the schnitzel, both are safe bets that will leave full but not heavy.

Unbelievable. We ordered via foodora and it seems they give the old food to those who order online. The clubsandwich was fresh and freis where good. But we also ordered the Oriental starter plate and a pine cake. The plate costs about 11 euros and was half of a starter for one person. It looked like it was just left overs. And the worst thing is that the cake was mouldy. I already ate a bite when i realized that there was a dot mould on it.

Wonderful staff and amazing food. Plus great atmosphere of old Roman builing. (so actually you are not in Vienna but Vindobona here :-) I've been to Vienna several times and have tried several restaurants here but this place wins it all.

Very nice a cozy place!! Great food and comfortable environment inside. Totally recommend to everyone during your stay in Vienna.
