★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr toll Skigebiet, er ist sehr geeignet für Kinder. Märchenabfahrt ist geeignet für den Anfänger. Meine Tochter hat hier die erste Skischritte gemacht und sie war daraus begeistert.
 Very great ski area, it is very suitable for children. Märchenabfahrt is suitable for beginners. My daughter took her first ski steps here and she was thrilled with it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wery unreliable. Ski lifts often closed due to weather. Skiing on Dachstein-Glacier was possible on 1 day out of 7. Ski buses sometimes just don't come, and then it's your problem how to get to the piste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite places in Austria during winter. Is located on a plateau ~1200m above sea level and right on the feet of Styria's highest mountain, a glacier (still) called Dachstein. An amazing place for kids to learn skiing with easy slopes and ski schools. Is renown more for the huge variety and fantastically maintained x-country skiing slopes for every level of experience. Friendly people all around, nice and tidy bread and breakfasts, very competent equipment shops and much more...
For skiing enthusiasts you'll find 4 fantastic mountains just on the opposite side of the valley (Planai - where the famous "night race" slalom happens every year, Reiteralm, Hauser Kaibling and Hochwurzen). Well connected as well with public transport! Go and visit it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The views, PHENOMENONAL. Ice Palace, slippery and stunning. Where else can you walk on snow on a 30°C day???? Not cheap at €42.50 but worth every penny ???
