Ski and Snowboard School Alpbach-Inneralpbach

Just arrived back from 4 days of brilliant lessons. Matteus was a fantastic instructor, really great fun to be around, and genuinely interested in helping us to perfect our technique. Came back feeling much more confident over tricky terrain. Looking forward to next year!

Have known this ski school for more than ten years and they are fantastic! Nothing is too much trouble and, if you do have a question or problem, just ask and it will be answered. I can't recommend them highly enough; whether you need to introduce your children to the joys of skiing or fancy some advanced touring off-piste; you might get different instructors (! ;-) ) but the result will be the same - smiles all round.

We had a terrible experience with this school. We spent a lot of money to get the kids to have a ski experience and decided to go for a 2hr family private ski lesson. The instructor was arrogant, never smiled once and the kids as a result were unhappy and unenthusiastic. I was so disappointed with the whole setup. However, further down I noticed another ski school so noting the kids disappointment I asked the blue school if they could take the kids in the afternoon for another private lesson. Richard was the instructor, he was great with the kids, they began to love skiing, turning, stopping and most of all LAUGHING & HAVING FUN. It was worth the thousand euros for that moment alone. Now, I'm not saying this school is bad, but the instructor and the setup and our experience & treatment on the day was terrible & disgusting. We left on a positive high thanks to the other ski school!

Just back from a week in beautiful Alpbach. It is my third consecutive year with this ski school and once again they were brilliant. My instructor this time was Alex, a really lovely and patient man and an exceptional teacher. Alex was unfailingly calm and charming- also looking after his group at lunchtimes by making food suggestions, translating menus etc. The staff in the office were welcoming and helpful and highly organised, I can’t fault this ski school and can’t wait to go back next year

A friendly and well organised ski school offering many different groups and ski areas to cater for varying ability students. My 8 year old daughter was a complete beginner and had the best time ever in Eppy’s Group. My partner is in her thirties and also a beginner; she felt safe and confident skiing in Gus’ group. The school has a taxi service to take groups to different areas with central meeting points for lunch and end of the day. Highly recommended!

What an amazing few days. - with Alex our instructor. Having decided to leave a different school Alpbach Active after only three lessons (due to multiple concerns) our holiday was rescued by an incredibly professional outfit - and a great instructor. It would not have been possible to have a better time, or improved our techniques more in the time - our sincere thanks. 100% recommended.

I can highly recommend ski school. In three days I went from snow plough to going down reds. The two instructors I had (Jamie and David) were both excellent. Patient, friendly, and very good instructors. It was a really enjoyable three days. Will definitely use again on my return to Alpbach.

For many years and many generations this ski school has supported our family’s needs in Alpbach. Sepp and Jacqui go to extraordinary lengths to support our whims and eccentricities, and often at short notice. Private tuition is friendly, supportive and with that renowned Alpbach experience. This is the original, and it is no coincidence that people come back again and again and ask for their same ski instructor- and so many are incredibly experienced and wise to the mountain - invaluable. Over the years, Heinz, Georg, Peter, Gotz, Luke, Terry - all wonderful characters who have given us much more to remember than just how to hold our poles and position our skis. At the other end of the spectrum, we now have children in the BoBo KinderClub. Even our 3 year old was like a duck to water courtesy of the gentle and experienced hands of the likes of Sabrina and Heather. Skiing for a 3 year old can feel overwhelming on many levels, and these guys know exactly how to put the children at ease. Our kids were at Kinder Club on day 1 of half term week. There were 5 instructors (Sabrina, Heather, Andi, Christophe and Brendan) working tirelessly all day with brand new children, full of 3/4/5/6 year olds, multilingual and brand new to skis. Having been to other resorts I am convinced this ski school is second to none for children. We are eternally grateful. Thank you all.
