★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bin hier aufgewachsen. Ein kleines Dorf neben der Salzach, eingebettet vom Hagen- u. Tennengebirge. Es ist von der Autobahn in gut 5min. zu erreichen oder mit dem Zug. Es gibt einen Bäcker und 2 Gasthäuser, sonst ist hier nicht viel los.
Es gibt ein kleines Schwimmbad, dass x für die Arbeiter des hiesigen Eisenwerkes gebaut wurde. Man kann hier schön wandern, spazieren oder radfahren gehen.
Highlights: - Blühnbach: zum spazieren oder radfahren schön: rein ins Blühnbachtal, dort ist ein kleiner Stausee für das örtliche Eisenwerk & dann kann man sich entscheiden, ob man zur kleinen urigen Dorfkirche runtergehen will oder weiter rauf auf den Berg, wo zB. auch das Schloss Blühnbach ist.
- Die Eisriesenwelt natürlich... die größte Eishöhle der Welt, die entweder mit dem Auto bis zur Seilbahnstation (ca. 10-15min.) zu erreichen ist oder auch zu Fuß & dann mit der Gondel rauf zur Eishöhle.
- Die Burg Hohenwerfen: Eine sehr schöne alte Burg, gut erreichbar & schön gelegen, interessante Führungen & eine Greifvogelschau kann man auch erleben. Man kann auch gut Feste feiern dort oder essen gehen (zB. Ritteressen).
I grew up here. A small village next to the Salzach, embedded in the Hagen u. Tennengebirge. It is about 5 minutes from the highway. to reach or by train. There is a bakery and 2 inns, otherwise there is not much going on here.
There is a small swimming pool that was built x for the workers of the local ironworks. You can go hiking, walking or cycling here.
Highlights: - Blühnbach: for walking or cycling beautiful: into the Blühnbachtal, there is a small reservoir for the local ironwork & then you can decide whether you want to go down to the small quaint village church or continue up the mountain, where, for example. also the castle Blühnbach is.
- The Eisriesenwelt course ... the largest ice cave in the world, which can either be reached by car to the cable car station (about 10-15min.) Or on foot and then take the gondola up to the ice cave.
- The castle Hohenwerfen: A very beautiful old castle, easily accessible & beautifully situated, interesting guided tours & a birds of prey show you can experience. You can also party well there or go out to eat (eg knight's food).
