★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Schloss Deutschkreuz ist ein wunderschöner Bau im Renaissancestil, welcher 1957 in das Eigentum von Anton Lehmden gelangte. Der Künstler Lehmden erweckte das Schloss zu neuem Leben und er wohnte und wirkte dort bis zu seinem Tod 2018.
Das Schloss kann im Rahmen von Führungen (Voranmeldung erforderlich, Termine auf der Web-Seite!) besichtigt werden. Gezeigt werden im Wesentlichen eine Ausstellung mit Werken Professor Lehmdens, sein Arbeitszimmer, die Schlosskapelle und der großartige Arkadengang.
Mein Tipp. Ein Muss für Freunde der Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismuses!
Deutschkreuz Castle is a beautiful building in the Renaissance style, which became the property of Anton Lehmden in 1957. The artist Lehmden brought the castle back to life and he lived and worked there until his death in 2018.
The castle can be visited on a guided tour (advance booking required, dates on the website!). Basically an exhibition with works by Professor Lehmden, his study, the castle chapel and the magnificent arcade are shown.
My advice. A must for friends of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Deutschkreutz wurde erstmals im Jahr 1492 eine mittelalterliche Burg erwähnt. Bis 1535 war sie im Besitz der Familie Kanizsay. Durch Heirat kam sie in den Besitz der Familie Nadasdy. Die Burg wurde von Thomas III. Nadaddy 1560 zu einem Schloss im italienischen Renaissancestil umgebaut. Die erste urkundliche Erwähnung stammt aus dem Jahr 1597. Das Schloss in seiner heutigen Form entstand 1625 durch Paul Nadasdy, der im Jahre 1632 auch die Kapelle errichten ließ.
Von 1945 bis 1955 wurde das Schloss von den Sowjets verwaltet und als Kaserne genutzt. 1957 konnte die Gemeinde Deutschkreutz das Schloss erwerben.
Ab 1966 befand es sich im Privatbesitz des Künstlers Anton Lehmden, der das Gebäude seit dieser Zeit Stück für Stück restaurierte.
In Deutschkreutz was first mentioned in 1492 a medieval castle. Until 1535 it was owned by the Kanizsay family. By marriage, she came into the possession of the family Nadasdy. The castle was built by Thomas III. Nadaddy rebuilt in 1560 into a castle in the Italian Renaissance style. The first written mention dates from the year 1597. The castle in its present form was built in 1625 by Paul Nadasdy, who also had the chapel built in 1632.
From 1945 to 1955, the castle was administered by the Soviets and used as a barracks. In 1957 the community Deutschkreutz was able to acquire the castle.
From 1966 it was privately owned by the artist Anton Lehmden, who has been restoring the building piece by piece since then.

Téglalap alaprajzú várból alakították ki. Még ma is látható a négy négyszögű sarok bástyája.
Belsejében zárt udvar van. Az épületet belül árkádos folyosó hatarolja az udvar felé.
Mysterious and hard to find castle. It is located outside the village. It is surrounded by many trees.
It was formed from a rectangular castle. The bastion of the four rectangular corners can still be seen today.
There is an enclosed courtyard inside. Inside the building is an arcaded corridor to the courtyard.
