Schischule Westendorf - Pfarrgasse 1

Vroeger zelf leren skiën bij the Reds , nu zijn de kinderen aan de beurt. Onze dochter heeft een super leuke week gehad. Met een heel leuk groepje en met meester Rick. Ze heeft onwijs genoten, en veel geleerd! Onze zoon ging voor het eerst op les, hij heeft de hele week veel plezier gehad. En blij dat hij heeft leren skiën!

De kinderen hebben genoten van de skilessen van Rick en Jose!

Vielen lieben Dank! Wir hatten zwei Kinder bei Euch im Skikurs. Es hat Ihnen super viel Spaß gemacht! Wir kommen im Winter wieder.

Wir sind schon um zweiten Mal mit unseren Kindern in Ski Unterricht. Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit der Organisation, den Lehrern und den Bedingungen. Die Kinder sind in guten Händen und werden sogar zur Mittagszeit betreut. Jeder wird in seinem Können überprüft und dem passenden Kurs zugewiesen. In Westendorf gibt es die idealen Bedingungen, dass die Kinder auf einem Berg fahren lernen, ohne dass sie von Erwachsenen Ski Fahrern umgefahren werden. Sie lernen auch Dank Magnet Sicherheitswesten das fahren im Sessellift kennen. Das hat den Kindern sehr gefallen und uns Eltern viel Sicherheit gegeben. Nächstes Jahr kommen wir wieder und unsere Kinder freuen sich schon. Ein dickes Lob an alle.

Eine ganz tolle Skischule gerade auch für die Kleinen. Unser Sohn war zu dem Zeitpunkt 4 Jahre und das Skifahren wurde ihm spielerisch beigebracht. Wir können diese Skischule nur weiter empfehlen. Macht weiter so!?

We recently returned from our first ski trip with our three young children. We booked all of them into this ski school and there were various reasons I wasn't particularly happy with it. Firstly, we specifically picked this school as they had a Monday start date (we were travelling Sunday) and as it was our first trip this was important to us. I'd phoned in advance and had been assured it would be a new class would start that day. The girls started their first morning, and were crying only to be told by the instructors they'd joined a class that had started the previous day. Disappointed to find out this way, and the children were with others that already had hours more experience. Our youngest daughter was upset, crying and were told we couldn't comfort her and had to leave her. Whilst I understand it can help for the parents to leave it would have helped if we saw the instructors comforting her or at least engaging with her. They had too many children, some were pushing in the queue to get on the 'magic carpet' while others just waited at the back. In the end we just left but it did feel hard as we just didn't feel the children were in good care (maybe a cultural difference). Sessions ran 9.45-11.45 and 13.00 until 15.00. We had an apartment very close to the slope so the first couple of days wanted to give them lunch there (until they became familiar with their classmates/instructors). The first day we went back at 13.00 for the next lesson. The instructors and other children didn't return until past 13.30. That was one quarter of the lesson lost (they didn't add the time on). There was no apology, just rudely told me they should have come for lunch with them! If that was the case publish different timings. Some other people in the same class, also waiting for them to return, said they'd used this ski school numerous times in the past but were equally disappointed with it this year. Another day our children didn't want to go into their lessons (which suggests they didn't really enjoy the lessons...) so while waiting I was asking the instructor what they'd be doing, with the hope of an enthusiastic response - instead I was just told, "We're just skiing down the mountain like we do everyday". Another ski school in Westendorf has themed days, where they ski down as red indians etc, looks much more fun and we adults had a private lesson with that school, the instructor was lovely. We'd particularly chosen Austria over France as I'd heard the ski schools were better and more friendly than the ESF schools. I must say, for these, and other reasons we were disappointed. I went into the office to discuss but was told the manager wasn't available. To be fair, our lesson for our older daughter ran more smoothly (apart from the first day which was chaos and no-one knew to expect her into a class), so maybe it's more a problem with the younger class. I think maybe it has just grown so big they can't cope with demand and also it was English and Dutch holiday week, so very busy, but they need to work on the above issues as I wouldn't be rebooking after this experience.

Have just returned from our first family ski trip in Westendorf. Had the whole family booked in. One child in Bambinis and one child in the 6-12yr old beginner group and myself and my husband in the adult beginners class. It's great that the kids classes tie up qith the adults classes as they are looked after while you go and ski too and aren't worried about rushing back at lunchtimes etc. As long as the kids go with €10 each at lunch time they are well fed and looked after. The children really enjoyed their week skiing and came on leaps and bounds. I was pretty rubbish at first but Kai the instructor really helped, encouraged me and persevered. I had a great time and can't wait to return next year to further improve, and I'll be booking everyone into The Reds! DANKE.

During a difficult time for travellers and businesses in Austria, Hans from Schischule Westendorf, The Reds, could not have been more helpful in getting our young children on the snow. His approach to arranging lessons was flexible and took the kids' interests firmly in mind, making sure they were learning at the right speed, but without us paying for unnecessary lessons. The teachers themselves were all fantastic. Really good people and really good at teaching. Our four kids, all of different ages and abilities improved so much over the week. Would recommend The Reds to anyone needing a ski school in Westendorf.
