★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind nun schon über 50 Jahre in Osttirol und davon nun zum 2. mal im Santerhof (1× davon auf der Almhütte im Sommer und in Skiferien) und ganz bestimmt nicht das letzte mal. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Schon der herzliche Empfang von Ewald und Gitti hat uns direkt in den Ferien ankommen lassen. Wir waren mit 5 Personen auf der Alm zum entschleunigen und trotz allem hat es an Komfort nicht gefehlt! Morgens frisch gebrühten Kaffee, dass knistern im Holzofen und Natur pur. Die Sonne hat uns geweckt und gut in den Tag starten lassen. Soweit das Auge reicht Natur pur. Ausser den Kühen, die zu dieser Jahreszeit überall auf der Alm sind, konnten wir noch 2 Steinadler, Murmeltiere, Alpensalamander und einheimisches beobachten. Die Hütte war der ideale Ausgangspunkt für ein paar schöne Wanderungen und zum Relaxen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können es nur jedem empfehlen. Ob ganz weit weg von der Zivilisation auf der Alm oder auch im santerhof mit frischer Milch und Brötchenservice immer wieder gerne.

 We have been in Osttirol for over 50 years and now for the second time in the Santerhof (1 of them at the alpine hut in summer and in ski holidays) and certainly not the last time. We felt very comfortable. Already the warm welcome of Ewald and Gitti let us arrive directly during the holidays. We were with 5 people on the Alm to decelerate and despite all, it was not lacking in comfort! Freshly brewed coffee in the morning, that crackling in the wood stove and pure nature. The sun has awakened us and let us start the day well. As far as the eye goes, pure nature. Apart from the cows, which are all over the alp at this time of the year, we were able to observe 2 golden eagles, marmots, alpine salamanders and native animals. The hut was the ideal starting point for a few beautiful hikes and to relax. We felt very comfortable and recommend it to everyone. Whether very far away from civilization on the pasture or in the santerhof with fresh milk and bread service always happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche im Santnerhof verbracht. Die Wohnungen sind modern und angenehm eingerichtet und Herr Kuchelmair hat uns warmherzig empfangen. Direkt vom Hof aus können wir die ersten Wanderungen empfehlen. Das Virgental und die angrenzenden Täler bieten in kurzer Fahrzeit (i.d.R. Unter 30 Minuten) hervorragende Ausflugsziele - gerade auch für Familien mit Kindern ( u.a. ein tolles Freibad dicht bei.... ein „Muss“ für Familien mit Kindern.)
Für Gleitschirmflieger vielleicht von Interesse: Direkt am Hof liegt eine Landewiese und ein Startplatz zum Üben ist in 12 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.... für „Low-Airtimer“ sehr günstige Möglichkeit Abend noch mal ein paar Landungen zu üben.... ansonsten gibt es natürlich die üblichen höheren Möglichkeiten bei Mattrei....
Alles in allem eine wunderschöne Woche für unsere Familie...
We spent a wonderful week at the Santnerhof. The apartments are modern and pleasantly furnished and Mr. Kuchelmair welcomed us warmly. We can recommend the first hikes directly from the farm. The Virgental and the adjacent valleys offer excellent excursion destinations in a short drive (usually less than 30 minutes) - especially for families with children (including a great outdoor pool close by .... a "must" for families with children.)
Perhaps of interest to paragliders: There is a landing area right next to the farm and a starting point for practicing can be reached in 12 minutes by car .... for “low-airtimer” a very cheap opportunity to practice a few more landings in the evening .... otherwise there are of course the usual higher options at Mattrei ....
All in all a wonderful week for our family ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alles wie immer bestens, sind inzwischen das 5. Mal hiergewesen. Top saubere Ferienwohnung, top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Netter Vermieter, ruhig gelegen, schönes Skigebiet in Matrei. Für Familie mit Kindern gut geeignet.
Everything is fine, as always, have been here for the 5th time. Top clean apartment, top price-performance ratio. Nice landlord, quiet area, beautiful ski area in Matrei. Well suited for families with children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten dieses Jahr wieder das Glück, Urlaub auf der Almhütte machen zu dürfen und haben es wie zuvor sehr genossen! Die Hütte ist sehr groß und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Vor der Hütte ist ein Garten mit einer Feuerstelle, auf der hervorragend gegrillt werden kann. Durch die wunderschöne Lage der Hütte hat man aus jedem Fenster eine traumhafte Aussicht auf die Berge und ins Tal. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen z.B. in Richtung der Lasörlinghütte ist die Almhütte sehr gut geeignet.
Wir lieben die Almhütte sehr und können sie jedem empfehlen, der seinen Urlaub in der Natur verbringen, wandern und sich komplett erholen will. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
This year we were lucky enough to be able to go on holiday at the alpine hut and, as before, enjoyed it very much! The hut is very large and is equipped with everything you need. In front of the hut is a garden with a fireplace, which is great for barbecuing. Due to the beautiful location of the hut, you have a wonderful view of the mountains and the valley from every window. The alpine hut is very suitable as a starting point for hikes, e.g. in the direction of the Lasörlinghütte.
We love the alpine hut very much and can recommend it to anyone who wants to spend their vacation in nature, hike and relax completely. We would love to come back!
