H	Helmut Artner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr gut beschilderter Radweg der von Kernhof bis St. Pölten 300 Höhenmeter bergab führt. Prima. Very well signposted bike path which leads from Kernhof to St. Pölten 300 meters downhill. Great.
S	Steve Drtina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Burgruine Hohenberg. Parken in der Ortschaft beim Tennisplatz. 20 min auf Forstweg. Erbaut im 13 Jh. Teilweise Gesichert aber wieder überwachsen. In der Vorburg sind Resten von einer aussen Mauern mit Torturm, Zwinger , neben Gebäuden und Zisterne. Die Hochburg mit Reste von einem Gebäude (Kemenate) und Überreste des Bergfrieds. Hinter der Hochburg geht die Ringmauer kreisförmig weiter und verbindet einen Wehrturm und Bastion. Um hierher zu Gelagen muss man sich durch das hohe Grass und Gebüsche kämpfen. Die Ringmauer führt weiter und endet wieder über der Vorburg und dem Zwinger. Schön Anlage. Aber wieder mal Zeit die Pflanzen zu entfernen. Hohenberg castle ruins. Parking in the village by the tennis court. 20 min on forest road. Built in the 13th century Partly secured but overgrown again. In the outer bailey there are remains of an outer wall with a gate tower, a kennel, next to buildings and a cistern. The stronghold with the remains of a building (kemenate) and remains of the keep. Behind the stronghold, the curtain wall continues in a circle and connects a defense tower and bastion. To get here you have to fight your way through the tall grass and bushes. The circular wall continues and ends again above the outer bailey and the kennel. Nice facility. But again time to remove the plants.

Sie ist relativ ausgedehnt, doch sind von den einstigen Bauten lediglich Reste der Vorburg und Torburg mit Schlossturm erhalten. Urkundlich wurde die Burg im Stift Lamprecht das erste Mal 1100 genannt Ab dem 17. Jahrhundert geriet die Anlage mangels Pflege in Verfall. Trotz der eher spärlich vorhanden Reste dieser ehemaligen Feste lohnt sich ein Ausflug und der kurze Aufstieg dorthin, gleichzeitig wird der Besucher mit einem herrlichen Ausblick belohnt. V	Viennese Fünfundfünfzig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Burgruine ist gut zu Fuß in ca. 20 Minuten erreichbar, ein etwas steilerer Weg im letzten Teil, wenn man vom Parkplatz des Ortszentrums aus startet. Viel sieht man nicht mehr von der Burg aber dafür gibt es einen schönen Ausblick von oben. Rundherum jede Menge Wanderwege. The castle ruins can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, a somewhat steeper path in the last part if you start from the parking lot in the center of the village. You don't see much of the castle anymore, but there is a nice view from above. Lots of hiking trails all around.
