R	Rene Gangl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir waren zu zweit und haben einen Rundweg um den Zirbitzkogel geplant. Geparkt haben wir bei der Waldheimhütte. Nach einer Stunde Fussmarsch erreichten wir die Rothaidehütte. Das sollte unser Ausgangspunkt für eine Wanderung werden. Die Nacht konnten wir gemütlich in der Hütte verbringen. Am nächsten Tag starteten wir am frühen Vormittag wie folgt. Rothaidehütte - Sabathyhütte - Winterleitnhütte und übers Schärfe Eck zum Gipfel und danach ging es wieder direkt runter zur Rothaidehütte. Nach 5 Stunden waren wir wieder am Ausgangspunkt. Die Hüttenwirtin Ingrid ist um Ihre Gäste sehr bemüht und nahm sich, wenn mal weniger los war, Zeit für ihre Gäste. Die Jause schmeckte vorzüglich. Das würzige Steirerkäsekrainer ist der Hit. Und was bisher nur die Einheimischen wissen und am Berg sagen, kann ich nun bestätigen. Die Rothaidehütte hat seit heuer das schönste Klo am Zirbitzkogel. Und weil es uns so gut gefallen hat, werden wir das nächstes Jahr genau so wiederholen. We were two and planned a circular walk around the Zirbitzkogel. We parked at the Waldheim hut. After an hour's walk we reached the Rothaidehütte. That should be our starting point for a hike. We spent the night comfortably in the hut. The next day we started in the early morning as follows. Rothaidehütte - Sabathyhütte - Winterleitnhütte and over sharpness Corner to the summit and then it went again directly down to Rothaidehütte. After 5 hours we were back at the starting point. The hostess Ingrid is very concerned about her guests and took time for their guests, if less was going on. The snack tasted excellent. The spicy Steirerkäsekrainer is the hit. And what only the locals know and say on the mountain, I can now confirm. The Rothaidehütte has the most beautiful toilet on the Zirbitzkogel since this year. And because we liked it so much, we will repeat it the same way next year.
P	Paul Stein on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Auf einem wunderschönen Wanderpfad gelangt man nach 1,5 Stunden zur Rothaidenhütte. Hier gibt es keine Hektik und keine Sterneküche. Mit einem freundlichen Du wird man begrüßt und nimmt an den großen Tischen vor der Hütte Platz , lernet nette Leute kennen und genießt den hervorragenden selbstgerechten Mostspritzer. Wer es verträgt der sollte den Schweinsbraten genießen . Für die engen Platzverhältnisse in der Küche wird Erstaunliches geboten. Auch die belegten Brote sind ein Gedicht. Die Rast wird vielleicht etwas länger aber die freundliche Wirtin und das aufmerksame Personal laden dazu ein den Ausblick zu erleben. Beachten wert sind die sehr sauberen Toilettenräume . Wenn man dann noch mit dem ehemaligen Bergdoktor aus Obdach unterwegs ist genießt man die Gespräche mit den Einheimischen noch mehr. On a beautiful hiking trail leads to 1.5 hours to Rothaidenhütte. There is no rush and no star kitchen here. With a friendly you will be greeted and takes at the large tables in front of the hut place, get to know nice people and enjoy the excellent self-compliant spice. Whoever tolerates it should enjoy the roast pork. Amazing things are offered for the tight space in the kitchen. The sandwiches are also a poem. The break may be a bit longer but the friendly landlady and the attentive staff invite you to experience the view. Worth noting are the very clean toilets. If you are still traveling with the former mountain doctor from Obdach you enjoy the talks with the locals even more.

Gute Auswahl auf der Karte (also alles was ich mir auf einer Hütte erwarte), nette Leute vor Ort, tolle Aussicht - was will man mehr. Von dort geht es dann noch ca. 1 1/2 Stunden auf den Kogel. Das letzte Stück hängt sich dann noch ziemlich rein ? Aber es lohnt sich. Last stop before the ascent to the zirbitzkogel. Good selection on the map (so everything I expect in a hut), nice people on site, great views - what more could you ask for. From there it is still about 1 1/2 hours on the Kogel. The last piece hangs pretty clean ? But it's worth it.
