Die Preise sind vielleicht etwas zu hoch angesetzt für die Portionsgrößen, aber der größte Witz ist, das keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird. Das geht bei einem Würstelstand, aber bei knapp 20€ pro Hauptspeise, in Zeiten in denen bargeldloses Zahlen sogar extra empfohlen wird, ist das unverständlich. The kitchen is really good, but the service is a single, unfriendly, drama. The prices may be a little high for the portion sizes, but the biggest joke is that they don't accept card payments. That works at a sausage stand, but at just under € 20 per main course, in times when cashless payment is even recommended, this is incomprehensible.
p	peter erlebach on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eigentlich sollte es schon Warnung genug sein, wenn ein Restaurant Samstag mittags, wo es am Hauptplatz in Wr. Neustadt brummt, nahezu leer ist. Aber, das Ambiente war sehr einladend. Das war’s aber schon. Bei der Getränke Bestellung, als ich mir erlaubt zu fragen ob es neben dem angebotenen Bier nach einer 2ten Alternative gibt, wurde ich von der „Chefin“ gleich mal hinwiesen.“ Wir sind grundsätzlich ein Fischlokal und haben deswegen nur eine Biersorte. Aha.. Ok, warum heißt das Lokal Beef & Reef ;-) Weiter gings mit der Fischsuppe, mit erlesenen Edelfischen.. mit Ingwer. In der Suppe war ein langweiliger Forellen oder Saibling filetteil. Ingwer habe ich keinen wahrgenommen. Nach der Reklamation, wo sind die verschiedenen edlen Fische? War der erste Kommentar, verschieden bedeutet… manchmal der Eine manchmal ein anderer Fisch…. Danach wurde die Suppe weggenommen und nach einigen Minuten, die selbe Suppe mit einem zusätzlichen Stück „Lachsforelle“ gebracht. Belustigend der Kommentar, der Chefin Piroska, „es kann passieren, wenn es einem Gast nicht schmeckt“ Unter uns, so eine geschmacklose Suppe hab ich noch nirgends auf der Welt gegessen. Das Tunatatar, war auch eigenartig gewürzt, aber wir trauten uns keinen Kommentar mehr, bzw. wurde eh nicht mehr gefragt ob es geschmeckt hat. Aber ,.. Sehr gut waren die Zwetschkenknödel, somit vergebe ich wenigstens 1 Punkt und komm nie wieder. Actually it should be warning enough if a restaurant is on Saturday lunchtime, where it is on the main square in Wr. Neustadt is humming, almost empty. But, the ambience was very inviting. But that's it. When ordering drinks, when I allowed myself to ask whether there was a second alternative in addition to the beer on offer, the “boss” pointed out to me right away. “We are basically a fish restaurant and therefore only have one type of beer. Aha .. Ok, why is the place called Beef & Reef ;-) We continued with the fish soup, with exquisite game fish .. with ginger. There was a boring trout or char fillet in the soup. I didn't notice any ginger. After the complaint, where are the different fine fish? Was the first comment, different means… sometimes one fish, sometimes another fish…. Then the soup was taken away and after a few minutes the same soup was brought with an additional piece of "salmon trout". The amusing comment by the boss Piroska, "it can happen if a guest doesn't like it". Between us, I have never eaten such a tasteless soup anywhere in the world. The tuna tartar was also strangely flavored, but we didn't dare to comment anymore, or we weren't asked if it was tasty anyway. But, .. The plum dumplings were very good, so I'll give at least 1 point and never come back.
