★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dies ist der älteste erhaltene Verteidigungsturm von Scheibbs. Er war Bestandteil der Stadtmauer, die als Befestigungsanlage gegen feindliche Angriffe das Zentrum schützen sollte. Rechts vom Turm sind Reste der Stadtmauer zu sehen, deren Bau anlässlich der Stadterhebung 1352 von Herzog Albrecht II. angeordnet wurde. Man kann annehmen, dass die Mauer etwa 6 m hoch war und eine Kronenbreite bis zu 1 m hatte. Heute werden im Pulverturm Ausstellungen abgehalten.
 This is the oldest surviving defense tower in Scheibbs. It was part of the city wall, which was supposed to protect the center as a fortification against enemy attacks. To the right of the tower are remains of the city wall, the construction of which was ordered by Duke Albrecht II on the occasion of the 1352 city survey. One can assume that the wall was about 6 m high and had a crown width of up to 1 m. Today exhibitions are held in the powder tower.
