Danke!
I reported a robbery with a friend on July 12th. The young official was professional, nice, helpful and understanding. Hats off! At moments like this, you know how good it is to live in this country. Thank you!

As a young woman, I had a somewhat uncomfortable feeling about going to the police because of such a commitment. But my fear was completely unfounded. The very nice gentleman even told me in detail about his vacation trips. When he suddenly said a few words of Czech, I was torn ;-) As far as I can tell, he also started a program to look after neglected women in the Czech Republic!

If the 60-year-old secretary on the 1st floor hates her job like this, she should change jobs or retire and rest. Absolutely no manners, can't even greet and treat the "customers" like their slaves, but at the end of the month collect the tax money nicely, we're good enough for that, right? I actually only had good experiences with the police.

DANKE !
I went to the police to get information about a file. I was treated very nicely by Mr. Sobotka. He offered me at the same hour on the same day that I could come over. The positive must also be mentioned. A young policeman downstairs at the counter also helped me to carry the stroller upstairs. Unfortunately, that is no longer a matter of course these days. THANK YOU !

Not really thinking along after losing my wallet with all in it and not very friendly. They told me to report lost items to some website. Had to come back when I read that driver license needed to be reported to them. Had to pay to get report that drivers license was lost. Since I lost all my money, they did not give this report to me. Helpful in the end but refusing to speak one word of English to accommodate (Ambtsprache ist Deutsch!).

Horrible!!! * You MUST speak German, no options! * They sent me incomplete list of documents and when I came they said - "not our list, where did you get it?" When I showed from my phone their email message - "ok, we gave incomplete list.." * You have to provide bunch of documents and they will fill out some form based on your answers!!! (I guess from the same documents) - remember, you MUST speak German, no English! p.s. I've tried to get an invitation ("Elektronische Verpflichtungserklärung" - EVE) for relatives which I haven't seen for 2 years..

I don’t speak German and I was a bit worried after reading the reviews below. However, my experience was very good. I needed a criminal record document and it was very easy as the form is having instructions translated in English. There are instructions everywhere on the walls also in English and the ladies were nice enough to speak with me in English. It seems that they improved their services. Hopefully will stay like that. Thanks!
