Beautiful church. Well equipped even now in the Corona period. Signs where who can sit because of distance, disinfectants and of course mask requirements.
I	Irene Reichl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heute betritt man die 1489 geweihte Kirche durch eine großzügig angelegte helle Vorhalle. Von hier geht es in die ursprüngliche Kirche aus dem 15 Jhd. Als erstes fällt die von der Decke hängende Rosenkranzmadonna aus dem 17 Jhd auf. Aber wirklich spannend wird es wenn man den Altar erreicht und seinen Blick zur linken Wand richtet. Hier kann man die berühmten gotischen Fresken des Thomas von Villach betrachten. Egal ob das Lebende Kreuz, das Sakramentenhaus, das Jüngste Gericht am Triumphbogen, hier werden in bunten und anschaulichen Bildern die wichtigsten Inhalte aus der Bibel erzählt. Für uns heute ein bestaunenswertes Kunstwerk, im Mittelalter, als kaum jemand lesen konnte die optimale Möglichkeit Menschen am Glaubensgeschehen teilnehmen zu lassen. Immerso in una vallata silenziosa, circondato da un cimitero di guerra, ha un'atmosfera di incredibile suggestione. La chiesa al suo interno è meravigliosa, seppur piccola... Il profumo del legno intarsiato è caratteristico.... Insomma a 2 km dalla frontiera di Coccau, non si può non andare... I think it is one of the most beautiful places in all of Austria.
