W	Werner Siedler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kirche mit langer Geschichte Die Pfarrkirche Obritzberg ist dem hl. Laurentius geweiht. Es wurde bereits im Jahr 888 auf dem Kirchenberg eine Fliehburg gegen feindliche Umtriebe errichtet. Dieser ursprüngliche Bergfried wurde zum Kirchturm ausgebaut. Von ihm führte ein Verbindungsgang zur Burg mit der angrenzenden Burgkapelle. Diese Kapelle war die erste Kirche. Im Jahre 1526 brachte man um Kirche, Friedhof, Vikärstöckl und Pfarrhof eine Ringmauer an, die dem ersten Türkenansturm 1529 standhielt. Die Kirche ist 29 m lang, 7 bis 9,5 m breit und 6 bis 8,3 m hoch. Der viersäulige Hochaltar aus dem Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts weist zentral ein Gemälde der hl. Familie auf, daß in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts angebracht wurde. Über den beiden Opfergangtüren befinden sich die Statuen der hl. Petrus und Paulus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. An der Rückwand der Kirche und auf dem Chor hängen zwei Ölbilder; eine Darstellung des Guten Hirten aus dem Jahre 1872 und eine der Unbefleckten Empfängnis. Der Kreuzweg mit 14 Stationsbildern, auf beide Seitenwände verteilt, ist spätbarocke Bauernmalerei aus dem Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts. 1841 wurde die Orgel erbaut. 1895 wurde die Kirche innen renoviert, 1922 das elektrische Licht eingeleitet. 1932 wurde die Orgel repariert. 1936 war eine neuerliche Innenrenovierung notwendig. Am 3. Juli 1960 feierte der Neupriester Gottfried Strasser aus Obritzberg unter großer Anteilnahme der Bevölkerung sein erstes heiliges Meßopfer. Für unsere Pfarre war der 23. Oktober 1962 ein besonderer Freudentag: Die Turmweihe um 13 Uhr 30, durch Bischof Koadjutor Dr. Franz Zak. Am 9. Mai 1963 war wieder Firmung und Generalvisitation in unserer Pfarre. Ab 1964 erfolgen ständig Renovierungen bzw. Restaurierungen der Pfarrkirche. Zu Weihnachten 1964 erstrahlte die Kirche erstmals in neuem Lichterglanz. Auch Scheinwerfer für die Turmbeleuchtung kamen dazu. 1966 wurden neue Kirchenbänke angeschafft - 1967 ein neuer Beichtstuhl und rote Kokosläufer erworben 1968 wurde der erste Volksaltar aufgestellt, der jetzt in der Kleinrust Dorfkapelle steht 1970 erfolgte die Restaurierung des Hochaltares und der beiden Seitenaltäre samt Statuen, der Kanzel und der vier Statuen 1971 wurde die Kreuzigungsgruppe, Mepomukstatue und die Orgel restauriert - Orgelweihe mit neuem Spieltisch und Motor 1974 wurde eine Elektroheizung mit 5 Nachtspeichern installiert sowie der Marienstein eingeweiht 1975 wurde der neue barocke Volksaltar aufgestellt 1976 wurde ein neuer Taufbrunnen erworben und der Osterkerzenleuchter neu marmoriert 1977 wurde die Lautsprecheranlage eingeleitet 1979 wurde die Innenrenovierung der gesamten Kirche vorläufig abgeschlossen Church with a long history The parish church Obritzberg is dedicated to St. Laurentius consecrated. On July 3, 1960, the new priest Gottfried Strasser from Obritzberg celebrated his first holy mass offering with great sympathy from the population. October 23, 1962 was a special day of joy for our parish: the consecration of the tower at 1.30 p.m. by Bishop Coadjutor Dr. Franz Zak. On May 9, 1963, there was another confirmation and general visitation in our parish. From 1964 the parish church is constantly being renovated and restored. At Christmas 1964, the church shone in new light for the first time. Headlights for the tower lighting were also added.
