★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In der Pfarrkirche, die dem hl. Jakobus geweiht ist, sind mehrere Bauetappen feststellbar. Die erste Neumarkter Kirche – im romanischen Baustil – wurde um 1150 erbaut. In der Gotik wurde die Kirche erweitert. Der gotische Chor, entstanden um 1350, zeigt nur gotische Einzelformen, er ist noch in der vorangegangenen romanischen Baukunst verwurzelt. Das Langhaus der Pfarrkirche entstand nach 1435 und erfuhr im 18. Jahrhundert (1731) nach Westen hin eine barocke Erweiterung. Die Fresken im Chor aus dem Jahre 1350 wurden mehrmals übermalt. 1988 wurden diese bei der Renovierung der Pfarrkirche freigelegt, ebenso die Kreuzrippen und 2 Schlusssteine, die in ocker-rot-blaue Segmente gegliedert sind. Zwei romanische Grabplatten südlich der Kirche sind bei Grabungsarbeiten auf dem Friehof zum Vorschein gekommen.
In the parish church dedicated to St. James is consecrated, several construction stages can be determined. The first church in Neumarkt - in the Romanesque style - was built around 1150. In the Gothic the church was enlarged. The Gothic choir, built around 1350, shows only individual Gothic forms, it is still rooted in the previous Romanesque architecture. The nave of the parish church was built after 1435 and underwent a baroque extension to the west in the 18th century (1731). The frescoes in the choir from 1350 were painted over several times. In 1988 these were exposed during the renovation of the parish church, as were the cross ribs and 2 keystones, which are divided into ocher-red-blue segments. Two Romanesque grave slabs south of the church came to light during excavation work in the cemetery.
