"Verschiedene Funde in Eberstalzell weisen darauf hin, dass Teile dieses Gebietes bereits von den Römern bewohnt waren. Erwähnt wird der Ort erstmals 777 n. Chr. in der Gründungsurkunde von Kremsmünster. Deren Mönche errichteten die erste Kirche, diese wurde jedoch zerstört."
That reads like a well-known story, doesn't it?
"Various finds in Eberstalzell indicate that parts of this area were already inhabited by the Romans. The place is mentioned for the first time in 777 AD in the founding deed of Kremsmünster. Its monks built the first church, but it was destroyed."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich war am 31. Oktober zur Nacht der 1000 Lichter in der Pfarrkirche Eberstalzell. Ich war beeindruckt, was die Kath. Jugend von Eberstalzell da zustande gebracht hat. 3 Jugendliche haben in der Kirche auch noch Musik gemacht (moderne geistliche Lieder) und eine Gruppe Jugendlicher hat vor der Kirche Punsch ausgeschenkt - es war ein wunderschöner Abend!
On October 31st, for the night of 1000 lights, I was in the parish church of Eberstalzell. I was impressed by what the Eberstalzell Catholic youth team had achieved. 3 young people also made music in the church (modern spiritual songs) and a group of young people served punch in front of the church - it was a wonderful evening!
