Man vermutet, dass es zur Zeit der Herrschaft vom Constantin II. errichtet wurde. Im 19. Jh. wurde geglaubt, dass es sich hier um ein Stadttor handelt. Erst später wurde die Theorie aufgestellt, dass es sich hier um einen Troumphbogen handelt. Was immer es sein sollte - die beeindruckende Bauweise und die Stabilität machen dieses Bauwerk sehenswert. You don't know exactly when and why this building was built because there is no comparable one in Austria. It is believed that it was built by Constantine II during the reign. In the 19th century it was believed that it was a city gate. It was only later that the theory was put forward that this is a trophy arch. Whatever it should be - the impressive construction and the stability make this building worth seeing.
E	Ein Google-Nutzer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bahnhof in Petronell. Etwas außerhalb des Ortes gelegen, zur Römerstadt geht man in etwa 15 Minuten. Busstation aber direkt bei dem Bahnhof. Zweigleisig. Mit Bahnhofshäuschen. Fahrkartenautomat und sogar elektrischer Abfahrtsmonitor vorhanden. Sitzplätze außen am Bahnsteig. Wettergeschützt durch das vorhin erwähnte Bahnhofsgebäude. Keine Durchsagen am Bahnhof. Hier hält nur eine S-Bahn Linie mit Verbindungen nach Wolfsthal, Wien und Wolkersdorf. Züge machen hier manchmal eine längere Pause von einigen Minuten. Aber abgesehen von der schlechten Lage ist es ein gelungener Dorfbahnhof. Petronell train station. Located a little outside of the village, you can walk to the Roman city in about 15 minutes. Bus station but directly at the train station. Two-pronged. With station building. Ticket machine and even electric departure monitor available. Outside seats on the platform. Protected from the weather by the aforementioned station building. No announcements at the train station. Only one S-Bahn line with connections to Wolfsthal, Vienna and Wolkersdorf stops here. Trains sometimes take a longer break of a few minutes here. But apart from the bad location, it is a successful village train station.
