Liebevoll über 30 Jahre lang wurde das Café aufwändig mit Fotos und Opernartefakten eingerichtet. Peter selber ist Wiens Opernfachmann. Er kennt jede Geschichte und vor allem jedes Detail zu Protagonisten und Stücken. Die Leidenschaft zum Detail macht das Ambiente einmalig. Man sitzt also in Peters Café bei einem ausgezeichneten Achterl und lässt an einem wunderschönen, alten Marmortisch die Atmosphäre auf sich wirken. Nehmen Sie Zeit mit. Peters Café ist nichts wo man reinrauscht, einen Cappuccino durchzeiht und wieder geht. Peters opera cafe is just awesome and my top tip for Vienna. The entire café is a journey through time to the history of the opera genre. Lovingly over 30 years, the café was lavishly furnished with photos and opera artefacts. Peter himself is Vienna's opera specialist. He knows every story and above all every detail about the protagonists and plays. The passion for detail makes the ambience unique. So you sit in Peter's Café with an excellent Achterl and let the atmosphere on a beautiful, old marble table on itself. Take your time. Peter's Café is not a place where you can get into it, drink a cappuccino and go back.

Wer klassische Musik / Opern mag, sollte nach einer Aufführung den Abend dort ausklingen lassen. Man ist nicht Besucher eines Cafes, sondern Gast im Wohnzimmer des Chefs. Man redet, lauscht, schaut - und genießt! Nothing less than perfect! A journey through time and, as is often the case with the best things, a coincidence. If you like classical music / opera, you should end the evening there after a performance. You are not a visitor to a cafe, but a guest in the boss's living room. You talk, listen, look - and enjoy!

He changed his attitude when he realized we’re not locals and basically kicked us out because we were a group of 4 people, 3 of us ordering a drink and one that wasn’t having anything as she doesn’t drink. He immediately started SHOUTING at us in German with not prior explanation (even though he knew we don’t speak the language and he could perfectly understand and speak some English) and we had to leave. Quite unfortunate. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here, specially if you’re foreigner.
