The Muritzen Alm car park can be reached via the toll road from the head of the valley at the Arsenhaus. After about ten minutes you will reach the parking lot at about 1550 meters above sea level. From here you have a variety of hiking and mountaineering opportunities. Shortly before you reach the parking lot, you can see an almost 100 meter high waterfall on the right hand side, which you can also walk to. From the parking lot you can reach the Sticklerhütte in about an hour, from where you can also hike to the source of the Mur. The Sticklerhütte is also the starting point for a mountain and hiking tour on the 2,700 m high Weißeck. A particularly beautiful but easy hiking tour is to visit the Karwassersee from the parking lot. This lake is already in the national park area of ​​the Hohe Tauern National Park at 1,800 meters above sea level. The Muritzenalm is the starting point for many hikes and experiences.
