Und das lohnt sich eindeutig. Man sollte nur vorher wissen, dass man das Geld passend in Münzen haben muss. Ein Wechselautomat, der jedenfalls Scheine in Münzen wechseln kann, hängt am Kassenhäuschen quasi an der Einfahrt ins Gaistal. Auf Google Maps ist es als Kassenhaus Parkplatz 1 (o.ä.) bezeichnet. Clean and groomed. A day ticket costs € 4, which I think is okay if you are actually in the Gaistal all day. And it is definitely worth it. You should only know beforehand that you have to have the money in coins. A change machine, which can change notes in coins, hangs on the ticket booth at the entrance to the Gaistal. On Google Maps, it is known as the Kassenhaus Parkplatz 1 (or similar).

K	KaethePaal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Parkplatz ist der Ausgangspunkt für jegliche Wanderungen im schönen Gaistal, man kann auch mit dem Bus hierherfahren, dieser hält unterhalb des Wasserspielplatzes. Der Spielplatz ist ein Paradies für Kinder aber auch (wenn die Kinder wieder weg sind) für die Erwachsenen, man kann Kneippen dort oder sich einfach auf eine der Holzliegen legen und die Berge betrachten (tolle Sache während man auf den Bus wartet). Weiter oben gibt's auch eine Toilette und dann eben die Wegweiser zu sämtlichen Wanderwegen zu diversen Almen in der Umgegend. The parking lot is the starting point for all walks in the beautiful Gaistal, you can also take the bus here, which stops below the water playground. The playground is a paradise for children but also (when the children are gone) for the adults, you can Kneipp there or just lie down on one of the wooden loungers and look at the mountains (great thing while waiting for the bus). Further up there is also a toilet and then the signposts to all hiking trails to various alpine pastures in the area.
