Es gibt eigene Beratungszeiten für soziale Fragen, Heime und Wohnen, Studieren mit Beeinträchtigung, Erasmus Studierende und rechtliche Fragen. Im Sekretariat gibt es Hilfestellungen zu allgemeinen Fragen und den Mensabon. This is where students from the University of Innsbruck are helped. There are separate consultation times for social questions, homes and living, studying with disabilities, Erasmus students and legal questions. The secretariat provides help with general questions and the canteen.

Die Institution der Hochschülerschaft suggeriert auf den ersten Blick als hätte man mit kompetenten Fachkräften zu tun. Ich bin weit über 30 und finde es etwas befremdlich mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit in Mails gedutzt zu werden, dass Sätze gebildet werden wie: "..also ich versteh jetzt gar nicht wie du das meinst" in dreimaliger Wiederholung auf eine klar gestellte Frage. Das ist für mich kein Auftreten nach außen. Offenbar sind das alles noch sehr junge Menschen die in der "Verwaltung der Hochschülerschaft" sitzen finde aber dennoch, dass man sich als angehender Akademiker seriöser verhalten- und dazu angeleitet werden sollte. My experience with the ÖH: Long waiting times until emails are answered. At first glance, the institution of the student body suggests that you are dealing with competent specialists. I am well over 30 and find it somewhat strange to be taken for granted in e-mails that sentences are formed like: "... so I don't understand what you mean" in a repeated three times to a clearly asked question. For me, this is not an outward appearance. Obviously, these are all still very young people who sit in the "administration of the university population" but still think that as a budding academic you should behave more seriously and be instructed to do so.
