There is no menu displayed because the food offered is based around what is fresh from the market that day and what has been prepared with the very best of those ingredients. Mauricio, the delightful owner, is charming, welcoming, knowledgeable and from Apulia. Having been to the region in June we know the cuisine and the wine very well. This is typical of the very best. Exceptional flavours, beautiful presentation, olive oil from his Uncle's trees, his wife makes the pasta fresh daily - I could go on. Ask for recommendations of the Chardonnay whites from his region- Think Top Limoges and you are about right. Heavenly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to try this restaurant on our last evening in Vienna. We were not disappointed. The service was very good and the food perfectly cooked, the dessert which was a cannolo siciliano - Divine . We really ended our holiday on a high note

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was recommended by a colleague, with the remark that the fish is great. It was an understatement! It is already hard to choose from the daily suggestions, but all is prepared and presented extremely well. Friendly , attentive staff, good wine and a nice atmosphere. I will definitely return.

In 2008, the IL MELOGRANO followed in Dorotheergasse. Son Giovanni participates in the Osteria and sells wine and chocolate under the name Vini d'Atri.
