As soon as you get out of the car there is a smell (reminds me a bit of cake), and inside the olfactory and optical sensory impressions continue, even through the mask ?. Very nice shop, including tasting stations for oils, vinegars and various pumpkin seed snacks. The mill / press can also be visited, but this time we didn't leave it (we already knew from our last visit).

The shop and museum are definitely worth a visit. If you want, you can taste the various oils and vinegar or take part in a guided tour

A feast for the senses and a must for all food lovers visiting the Südsteiermark! You park the car and you are suddenly met by the wonderful aroma of toasted nuts and grains. This ancient mill and shop has an authentic, rustic feel with its charming wood panelling and beautiful main door. Inside you will find all manner of oils, grains, nuts, vinegars, pickles. spirits and pulses from the Styria area and abroad, which you can sample upon request. Very informative, friendly and obliging staff. There is a museum too, which can be visited subject to prior appointment. In the harvest season, you will often see locals bringing their nuts or grains for roasting there, which adds to the general charm of the place. Despite there being no olive groves in Styria, the excellent olive oil produced here comes from a tiny plantation in Tuscany sourced by the mill owners and is of the highest quality. A highly recommended gastronomic experience!
