Frühstück und Abendessen sehr reichhaltig und ausgezeichnet! Die Wirtin besonders nett und vor allem auch hilfsbereit! Wir haben es genossen und werden beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Mariazell wieder beim Ochsenwirt wohnen! Danke! Uli und Rosi A week ago my girlfriend and I stayed at the ox host! The two rooms were very nice and absolutely clean! Breakfast and dinner very rich and excellent! The landlady was particularly nice and, above all, helpful! We enjoyed it and will stay at the Ochsenwirt again the next time we stay in Mariazell! Thanks! Uli and Rosi
R	Rainer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wie ich Mitte Oktober dort war gab es keine Zimmer, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Essen und Service waren aber sehr freundlich. Kam alles sehr rasch und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Preise für am Hauptplatz, voll in Ordnung. When I was there in mid-October there were no rooms, so I can't comment on that. Food and service were very friendly. Everything came very quickly and tasted very good. Prices for on the main square, perfectly fine.
T	Thomas Hiebl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kann man leider nur eingeschränkt weiterempfehlen: Kellner hat sich geweigert, eine Hauptspeise während der Bestellung nochmal zu ändern. Wir dachten zuerst an einen Scherz, der Kellner meinte es aber scheinbar ernst. Normalerweise würde ich in so einem Fall das Lokal umgehend verlassen, wir hatten aber hungrige Kinder mit und das hatte in diesem Fall Vorrang. Der Fairness halber muss man sagen, dass zumindest der andere Kellner sehr nett war. Das Essen selbst war leider auch bestenfalls Durchschnitt. Unfortunately, one can only recommend it to a limited extent: the waiter refused to change a main course again while the order was placed. At first we thought of a joke, but the waiter apparently meant it. Normally I would leave the place immediately in such a case, but we had hungry children with us and that had priority in this case. In fairness it has to be said that at least the other waiter was very nice. The food itself was unfortunately average at best.

Die Spätzle waren nicht selbst gemacht und der Röstzwiebel auch nicht. Kann ich zuhause auch kochen und besser sogar. Der Höhepunkt war, als wir zahlen wollten und der "Chef" einfach nach X mal zahlen sagen nicht kommen wollte! Nach 20 MINUTEN WARTEN AUF DIE RECHNUNG wollte ich schon aufstehen und das Lokal verlassen, schickte er, eine vorher nicht gesehen Dame statt ihm und diese brachte die Rechnung! Fazit! NIE WIEDER IN DIESES OCHSENWIRTSHAUS ? We thought we would support another host in Mariazell....that didn't work out! My wife had cheese spaetzle. The spaetzle were not homemade and neither were the fried onions. Can I cook at home and even better. The high point was when we wanted to pay and the "boss" simply didn't want to come after saying X times! After 20 MINUTES WAITING FOR THE BILL I was about to get up and leave the place, he sent a previously unseen lady instead of him and she brought the bill! Conclusion! NEVER AGAIN TO THIS OX INTERNAL ?

M	Michaela Halabrínová on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are two pilgrims on our way from Czech republic to Mariazell. We sat at this restaurant (we have 60l bagpack) and older one waiter comes to us. We asked him to have one more minute. Than he went to serve another table and made a gesture like we smell bad a lot. When we stood up and wanted to go out, he was acting arrogant. We felt extremely uncomfortable in this situation. Younger waiter was nice. This shouldnt happen in restaurants. ALL THIS HAPPENED IN FRONT OF THE BASILICA.
