★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originally posted the review at the Google Photo point, but here it seems more appropriate since this location is where a tourist will buy tickets.
Mixed feelings about the experience: The flowstone parts of the cave are very nice to look at, the lighting is well done and playing Bachs Toccata and Fugue in D Minor to demonstrate the perfect acoustics is a stroke of genius. If you have never been to a flowstone cave, I think it will be a tremendous thing.
But: The major part of the underground network of tunnels is the old ore mine - to advertise it mainly as a flowstone cave is rather far fetched. It is the other way round: It is mainly a mine complex that touches a cave system of which you can see some small chambers.
The underground "lake" as it is advertised does indeed also look quite nice, but it is a rather tiny affair - you have to kneel down and put your head to the side to sneak a peek at the relatively tiny pool of water a few centimeters deep and stretching visibly only a few meters into the rock. Explaining that and the discrepancy to the image they are implicitly creating at the ticket booth to the visitors was perceptibly a rather awkward moment for the guide.
The advertising pictures have probably been made by a very experienced hotel pool fotographer: They also make the tiniest pools appear like a mid-size ocean. ;-)
The guided tour in itself is a bit of a rush, the guide has all in all not very much to say.
For all that the tickets are quite expensive.
Had it not rained on the day of our visit and had I known beforehand what I would get to see, I wouldn't have spent the money.
We've been to caves in Germany, Slovenia and Croatia that are indeed flowstone caves only: Larger, much more impressive, better tour guide concept, more information, cheaper ticket prices. And no necessity to drive two times 25 minutes around in a bus to get to the cave and back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude old female guide, small cave system, very stressful tour like leading cattle to the slaughter

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice activity for rainy and very hot days :)! Easy to access for adults and kids. The guides tell interesting stories and knows a lot about this place! The entrance fee is quite high but with the Kärten Card it’s almost free. You only have to pay the transfer to the cave.
